Mr Pratchett NEVER fails
I loved this tale, it had a serious side as well as the Pratchett humour. The story was set in the first part of the reign of Queen Victoria, it cleverly included the characters of Charles Dickens and Henry Mayhew as a relevant part of the tale. I did really enjoy this, it was a departure from the normal stories of Terry Pratchett, - EXCELLENT!

Comical and endearing
Would you listen to Dodger again? Why?
Yes - This takes a lot of characters I know and puts a spin on it.
If you’ve listened to books by Terry Pratchett before, how does this one compare?
I like this book, different from Sir Terry's Diskworld and better than the Long Earth stuff - I read all 5 and just felt I had wasted my time...

I like this book, different from Sir Terry's Diskworld and not as good, but better than the Long Earth stuff - I read all 5 and just felt I had wasted my time...
This takes a lot of characters I know and puts a spin on it.
Comical and endearing which Sir Terry had a knack for putting in all his books.
He takes the Artful Dodger and spins that Pratchett magic in and wallah - Dodger, a fun romp in the day in the life of a tosher...
I would recommend this book to anyone who like Terry Pratchett, Victorian adventures or even Oliver - see if you can spot all the characters...

Excellent
For a young persons book this combines 'historical' events with fiction in a way which is unnoticable and doesn't rule the story. I found this 'unputdownable'. A very enjoyable story.

A pretty good book...
What did you like most about Dodger?
A really good story with lots and lots of descriptions about everything. It was super funny and great fun to listen too.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Dodger was great, I like the name Doder and he's not afraid of anything, he has no fears and makes me feel brave when I think about him. I like that he is inspiring and really, really funny. The other characters were very funny as well.
What about Steven Briggs’s performance did you like?
I really like the way this guy puts the story out and I enjoyed the different voices of the different people in the story, this really made a good story a really good story.
Any additional comments?
This book did have a swear in it and that gave me a big shock, maybe it is only for children 7 and over and warn children about the swear so they are not taken back by it.
Overall a really good listen and a pretty good story.

Another Pratchett work of art
Such a wonderful book you can almost smell London while reading it.
Outside of discworld TP shines as usual. A must read as always
