Story
People don't buy from people they like. No! Your buyer doesn't care about you or your product or service. It's not your job to overcome objections, it's your buyer's. Closing isn't a skill of good salespeople; it's the skill of weak salespeople. Price isn't the main reason salespeople lose the sale. Gap Selling shreds traditional and closely held sales beliefs that have been hurting salespeople for decades. For years, salespeople have embraced a myriad of sales tactics and belief systems that have unknowingly created many of the issues they have been trying to avoid.

Why are some people and organizations more innovative, more influential, and more profitable than others? Why do some command greater loyalty from customers and employees alike? Even among the successful, why are so few able to repeat their successes over and over? People like Martin Luther King, Jr.; Steve Jobs; and the Wright Brothers might have little in common, but they all started with why. Their natural ability to start with why enabled them to inspire those around them and to achieve remarkable things.

Story
Today's consumers prefer the advantages of access over the hassles of ownership. It's not just Internet services like Netflix and Spotify; even industrial firms like GE and Caterpillar are reinventing themselves as solutions providers. Whether you sell software, clothes, insurance, or industrial machines, you need to master the transition to the subscription model. Adapting to the subscription economy takes more than just deciding to sell subscriptions instead of products. You'll have to reinvent your company from the inside out - from your accounting to your entire IT architecture.

Summary
Scaling up is something most founders aspire to, especially once the tricky start-up phase has been navigated. It can increase your reach and futureproof your business. But how do you 'scale'? And how does it differ from 'flipping' for a quick profit or slower organic growth?
Les McKeown advises industry leaders on how to achieve scalable, sustainable growth. In Do Scale, he draws from his decades of experience to provide a clear understanding of what's involved, and the strategies needed to take your business (or not-for-profit) to the next level. You'll find out:
- What if means to scale - and if now is the right time
- Why founders need to 'get out of their own way'
- How to develop winning teams
- Your secret weapon for decision making
With practical advice and clear guidance, Do Scale is an essential manual for anyone looking to grow a successful and sustainable organisation - and turn it into something truly remarkable.

time saving book
if you need to do a lot of self education's as I do I am highly recommending you to put yore effort at this audiobook. most book (the lean startup's , "the great course" ) are unnecessarily receptive and flooded with unnecessary examples,( about 5 example per one main idea). this considerate auteur use section chapters 1-6 to present his idea (conceptually) and the section 7-12 to explain how to imply at your Owen life his essential concepts.
