For any parent that has ever questioned or blamed themselves for not connecting with their child or failing to build a strong bond, it's because you haven't listened to this audiobook yet. My wife and I have struggled with connecting with one of older children, but after listening to this, and becoming a little self-aware, we are seeing improvements already. We found that chapter 10, Connection Before Correction was absolutely amazing for us. Also, Chapter 12 It's Not Too Late, because even though our child is 19 now, we have found it's not too late to build that connection thankfully!
