For as long as I can remember, I've had low self-esteem. I always attributed it to being from a big family and I think that does still have something to do with it but I also realized many other things as I navigated this book.

Not only do I not have to accept myself as being "quiet" anymore, I can move through my own internal dialogue to begin cracking open my outer shell. I am slowly beginning to open-up at work and many people assumed I was didn't like them but really, it was just a response to my own trauma.

I can't wait to see where I'll be in a month. I'm already really much more vocally evolved than before and all thanks to this book.

This is a great resource for people who withdrew from social settings because of the pandemic. I was one those who did not have very much social interaction with others (outside of Zoom). The first time I was out in the midst of the pandemic I felt very socially awkward despite the fact that I've been a good communicator and easy to talk to most of my adult life. This book would have helped me to make meaningful connections with people after being isolated for so long. It includes practical and useful tips and techniques that encourage positive social interactions. Listeners will become stronger and more well rounded if they put the tips found in the book to use.

It's difficult to express how refreshing this book was to come across after going through the pandemic. After spending so much time away from society, I felt like it was really uncomfortable to even go to the store. This was obviously not sustainable as I'm in the service industry for work.

I loved the explanation behind reasons for difficulty communicating and talking to others. I have already started applying what I've learned with a person I'm interested in dating and it has helped take the connection to the next level! I'm so thrilled. I would recommend this book to anyone struggling to connect with others because conversation is difficult, or you just struggle with anxiety. 5 stars!

I love that this book makes you think and dig deep to look at yourself to become a better, more confident communicator. For years I have tried to cover up my social anxiety by either avoiding large social gatherings or latching onto my spouse and letting him do most of the talking. Then the pandemic hit, and I had a hard time getting back into any sort of rhythm at social events and even work. The pandemic has made me more anxious when out with people. This book made me look at myself and see that I need to work on my anxiety and my unease if I was going to make any sort of a change. The author talks about active listening and how that can really help to boost your ability to communicate and also to lessen your fears. I am committed to trying them, I am very hopeful. This book is very encouraging and empathetic, I really enjoyed it.
