Summary

Number one international best seller in pain management and health, fitness & dieting categories. Back pain is now the number one cause of disability worldwide; this is ironic, because the mystery was solved in the 1970s by Dr. John Sarno at the New York University Medical Center. Tragically, few sufferers accepted his solution. Despite possessing the most advanced healing techniques in history, the problem has grown into the main cause of global disability because the focus has been on treating the spine: a failed model for healing. Back Pain Permanent Healing examines why people are having trouble healing, why they refuse to accept healing, and why back pain has become epidemic. Through deeper understanding of the myths, lies, and confusion - healing occurs.

I’m not healed, because I don’t believe?

Maybe a missed some deep insight when I skipped over the repetitive ‘believe and you will be healed’ and the continuous dialogue ‘all medical science is wrong all pain is in your head’. Nope it’s not in my head, the pain is in my back, funny that MRI scans shows bad alignment and bits where they shouldn’t be. So the jist of this book is positive thinking, be a good person, love yourself etc and the pain will go away.....good luck with that, I’ll carry on with exercise and correcting my posture thanks.

Against the odds it’s helped

I have had a bad back for years culminating in a discectomy in May last year - ‘‘tis seemed to help things for a round 3 months then lo and behold it came aback and even worse than before. I got an injection which was useless and was really in despair as I drive a lot with work and that was a nightmare - I found this book having been an audible user for years not expecting much however I have found a massive improvements - not running any marathons but I am at least 60% better than I was and hopefully this will improve as I go on. So for fellow back sufferers out there it really isn’t worth a listen , it’s may not as yet be the finish of all the pain but it’s certainly helping.

🙏🏻

This book has giving me a new lease of hope from years of back pain and a recent diagnosis of osteoarthritis on lower back and both hips.

Getting there slowly

I have read Steves work before and had a personal skype session with him - he is a very positive man with a passion for what he does. I enjoyed this book in addition to the great pain deception and found them both to be a great asset in the process of healing. I highly recommend to anyone struggling with TMS.
