About this listen

Book 2 in The Lost Bride trilogy by New York Times and Sunday Times bestselling author Nora Roberts.

Book two in the haunting Lost Bride trilogy - a tale of tragedies, loves found and lost, and a family haunted for generations.

In need of an escape from her ex-fiance's betrayal, and the lucky recipient of a surprise inheritance, Sonya MacTavish leaves behind her life in the city and moves to a Victorian mansion on the coast of Maine.

The house is beautiful but comes with surprises - footsteps in the night, doors slamming, music playing - and in her dreams Sonya sees glimpses of the past and the brides who once lived there.

As the house reveals more of its history and the sad stories of the brides murdered there, Sonya discovers an antique mirror. She finds herself drawn to the mirror, sensing it holds dark secrets. What can the mirror tell her? Can it help her to understand how the seven brides died?

Sonya will need the help of her friends and family if she has any chance of breaking the curse and making this house her home.

Love the story and the characters, long time to wait for book 3. Only thing I didn’t like was the voice of the narrator.

I loved this so much. Can’t wait for the next one. 12 months though. Far too long. But I am sure worth the wait.

Amazing

As a previous reviewer said we’ve waited a year for the second instalment and what a disappointment it was! Not really getting the story any more forward and was just a lot of nothingness really apart from the romance growing between the 4 . Too much repetition. Although it’s the same narrator I thought she gabbled too quickly so didn’t even enjoy listening to her voice. I will listen to the last k e when it’s out in another years time and hope it’s better than this.

Disappointing

I was enthralled with book 1 and looked forward to book 2 for many months only to find a boring repetition of dinner parties and ghost antics. I won’t be buying book 3.

Very disappointing

I loved the fast pace of the narrative, had trouble with style as I usually read historical mysteries, but soon got into it, looking forward to reading the third book in the series.

A Gripping Story
