About this listen

The fourth book in the best-selling The World Walker series.

Does absolute power corrupt absolutely?

Maybe Seb Varden is in a good position to find out. Depending on your point of view, he has either spent a few days, six months, or 17 years playing a potentially deadly game.

At stake: the freedom of the alien who saved his life, the future of all intelligent species in the universe, and his sanity.

Not only does Seb not fully understand the rules, but it's just possible the game itself is rigged.

So, business as usual then.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This has been a great series, inventive paced at just the right speed and with a definite story line that comes to a sensible and enjoyable conclusion. This was great for me I am getting very tired of story lines that go on way past their natural ending. Having said that the author has left the door open for new fresh views of characters in the story line. I have happily recommended this series to friends.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

Oh dear the accent. Northumbria is a long way from Yorkshire and the accents are very different!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes it was hard to discipline myself to listen in short bursts but then again it was well worth listening two or even three times.

Excellent ending, but is it?

I will miss Seb and his cohort and the wonderful and frightening adventures they had but as Ian Sainsbury says there are plenty of openings for further stories in the world Walker worlds! Can’t wait - loved it

Another great series
