From Beyond is very good mix of Sci-fi, Horror and thriller all rolled into one. Aliens meets Indiana Jones, with a smattering of Event Horizon. Throw in well written characters, a decent plot that doesnt plod along and your left with an impressive start to the series.

Ray Porter is brilliant as always and breathes so much life into the story its rediculous.

The storyline is very predictable and disjointed to a flaw, big jumps in the storyline . Narration as usual very good.

Eh, it’s okay. It’s a deeply average story of first contact and conspiracies. The aliens aren’t inventive but the descriptions of them are suitably creative and disgusting

My main issue is the pacing. It’s almost like the Beyond III has fast travel enabled because from launch to them encountering the alien craft it’s only a few chapters. The characters are cookie cutter archetypes and the book rushes to its end.
