I recently decided to train to become a clinical psychologist. This book was the best way to prepare me for what's ahead! enjoyed this immensely, not only do you get to hear her story, youb hear the patients too, and gain an insight into her training. excellent for anyone studying psychology or psychotherapy, but also just a great listen also if you are interested in people

Took me a few chapters to settle in, but it's a very interesting book and insightful epilogue. Enjoyed the cases discussed and the characters created. The narrator manged to bring each character to life.

I found this gripping and informative as a counsellor working with adults, children and adolescents. I realised the work we do isn’t that different although there always seems a divide between counsellors and psychologists. It was fascinating to get to know the varied and interesting characters and the performance brought the whole book to life. The raw honesty and reflections of Tanya Byron adds to her credibility and expertise as a Psychologist.Highly Recommended.
