Story
She can’t recall what started her collection. Maybe it was in a fragment of conversation overheard as she cleaned a sink? Before long (as she dusted a sitting room or defrosted a fridge), she noticed people were telling her their stories. Perhaps they always had done, but now it is different, now the stories are reaching out to her and she gathers them to her. When Janice starts cleaning for Mrs B - a shrewd and tricksy woman in her 90s - she meets someone who wants to hear her story. But Janice is clear: she is the keeper of stories, she doesn’t have a story to tell.

Summary
Joel is afraid of the future.
Since he was a child he's been haunted by dreams about the people he loves. Visions of what's going to happen - the good and the bad. And the only way to prevent them is to never let anyone close to him again.
Callie can't let go of the past.
Since her best friend died, Callie's been lost. She knows she needs to be more spontaneous and live a bigger life. She just doesn't know how to find a way back to the person who used to have those dreams.
Joel and Callie both need a reason to start living for today.
And though they're not looking for each other, from the moment they meet it feels like the start of something life-changing.
Until Joel has a vision of how it's going to end....

A beautiful story
Loved this. Reminds us to live life in the moment. Take every moment in. I like the way this was presented with the two main characters describing their lives before, during and after each other alternately at each step. An enjoyable listen.

Stick with it - trust me
yes the voices are slightly irritating, yes, there's a few wtf are you doing moments, yes Callie and Josh are a bit wet, but the fact I remember their names is the first clue this is actually quite a special book.
I listen to 100's of books and I can honestly say this is one of few that not only made me shout out loud at them but also reduced me to a flood of tears.
The first 2 parts may feel fluffy and non directional but actually what they are doing is weaving a love story between us and them.
SPOILER
yes one of the characters dies but I truely grieved for then for a good couple of hours after.
Disclaimer- I was also a bottle of wine down, but to be honest, I am probably quite a few sheets to the wind whenever I complete a book nowadays.

Wow, an amazing story and perfect narrator's!
I can not stop thinking about this story and characters. I have not felt this emotionally invested in a story for such a long time. This was heart squeezingly emotional. what a unique story line. Not going to spoil it but this is a must listen. Tears spilled more than once. I think the narrator's have done an amazing job, I feel like I know Joel and Cally and i was on every single step of their journey with them. I would give this more stars if I could!

Mills and Boon
I couldn't finish this book. I've never read a Mills and Boon book, but if I had, I would imagine it to read like this book does.
There are endless references to swooning visceral reactions and thoughts about being kissed and held. Sugary comments about the colour of hair and people's eyes.
I got up to Chapter 6 with not much having happened. So slow moving.
I just couldn't read anymore.

My Interest Waned Early On...
Tediously slow at times and turned into a sort of star-crossed marathon romance which petered out into... something else including the prophetic dreams morphing into a loose sub-plot.
Really, really struggled to finish this. Had to skip through bits when I started to realise that it was a good as it was ever going to get . Some good writing though often too wordy and over descriptive. Unfortunately there wasn't even a good ending to make the wait worth it.
I really had to wonder that when Joel appeared to be permanently unemployed, where did he get his income from and secondly, why would Callie want to stay with him or move in with him in this state?
Male narrator was good however the female narrator was a bit dry at times.
Overall, it was way too slow for me.
