(P)2023 Boldwood BooksI loved the plot twists and the twists and turns but just some of it wasn’t really tied up at the end. There was a death that felt it wasn’t really being investigated, else I’m sure they’d have found the killer.
There was a character who came in to visit who didn’t really add anything to the story, and didn’t need to be included really. Just for the protagonist to throw them out and let them know she wasn’t interested.
It’s a shame that there are these loose ends.
I liked that it wasn’t the story I thought it would be as it was a surprise. It definitely could have been longer as the ending felt a little rushed.
I would, however read or listen again as I think the story was very clever.
I’d still recommend it. The gaps have you ticking it over and hoping for a sequel.
