According to Murphy, prayer is an ever-present help in time of trouble, but you do not have to wait for trouble to make prayer an integral and constructive part of your life. People can find the source of their goodness and get the results they desire through proper prayer.

This is an audiobook full of powerful affirmations for health, wealth, relationships, and self-expression. The idea behind these techniques is pretty simple. Most of us grow up learning to put ourselves down for any real or imagined errors. We grow up believing certain things about ourselves or comparing ourselves negatively to others. The use of positive affirmations is a technique to change that negative self-talk into something more positive.

Excellent book but poor narration
What did you like most about The Power of Your Subconscious Mind?
The subject matter is very important. I learnt much from listening to this book. It is not so much psychology as positive thinking and awareness. Very practical advice.
What did you like best about this story?
Not really a story as it is not fiction but it explains much.
What aspect of Clay Lomakayu’s performance might you have changed?
I felt he spoke too slowly. I found his intonation too much like a southern states preacher. The book is not actually like that but I got the mental impression of him delivering sermons in church.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I found the book enlightening though I was annoyed at times by the narration
Any additional comments?
Excellent book if you are into understanding how your life is a reflection of what is going on in your unconscious mind. Change what is there and your life will change too.

Good food for thought. Poor narration
First 3 chapters are basically the same few lines repeated in different ways.
"This book will help you If you follow the guidelines. You can have a better life. Did you ever wonder why you don't have what you want? This book can help you. Just follow the guidelines" with quotes and terrible references thrown into the mix to fluff things up. It feels like he just added pointless waffle to increase the books word count.
A lot of good stuff in here, but it is usually followed up with too many religious references and quotes. It really takes from the book.
The narration is also poorly done. I had it up full blast in the car and still couldn't hear parts. He also has that annoying old person whistle when he talks.
Worth using a spare credit on, but not worth the full price of the book.

Ok book but bad narration
The book is good and does make sense but few things spoil it:
1. Religious talk
2. Some examples are just too much to take!
3. The narration is as if they are whispering, while travelling in tubes, I have to put it on full volume but still all I can hear is cracking sound.

thought provoking
First time author for me, recommended to me by my daughter, the author wrote this book in 1963 and died in 1981. The book has remained in print since it was written meaning it has staying power as a popular book.
Are any of you like me, where you have these deep (at least to me) thoughts that surface somehow and you think to yourself about where those thoughts came from. Sometimes they are good thoughts but sometimes thoughts that are negative and you wish you didn't think them else they might come true. Well, this book delves into the nature of those thoughts and where they come from, the subconscious mind. It describes how thoughts gather in your subconscious and the things you need to do to make them as positive as possible. If you know what I'm talking about and have these kinds of thoughts, you might appreciate this book.

Power of Your Faith
The book should have been titled "The Power of Your Faith." Most of it is about visualization and positive affirmation or prayer each night until what you desire happens. Some of it is about replacing negative thoughts and developing an expertise in your field of interest to increase your confidence - actually taking actions rather than wishing for success or good things to happen.

This book was the beginning of myself.
I first read this book over 10 years ago and my life entered another dimension. As the years went on, I remained in good faith but not strong belief. Now that I've got the audio version this book, amongst other Joseph Murphy and Ernest Holmes books, have taken over my car radio and idle time. My belief in the Truth is made perfect minute by minute and day by day. I hope everyone is blessed with an experience equal to or greater than the abundance I have enjoyed. Thank you.
