Summary

The final heart-racing, heart-breaking, hilarious, and smoking-hot finale of Josh and Kat’s love story is here! Playboy Josh Faraday is addicted to Kat Morgan now...but she wants more than fun and games. She wants his heart. Is he capable of giving her what she wants...or will this be goodbye?

It began as a war of wills between the playboy and the party girl. But now, Josh Faraday unexpectedly sees something in Kat Morgan - and her big, crazy Morgan family - he’s never seen before: a future. Will he break down and grab hold of Kat and everything she has to offer him...or will he lose her forever?

The Consummation is the third book of the trilogy and should be heard after Infatuation and Revelation. The Josh and Kat trilogy is set in the same world as the Club trilogy and the Morgan Brothers series, but you do not have to hear either series first to devour this white-hot love story about Josh Faraday and Kat Morgan.

For listeners 18 and up due to graphic language and adult situations.

Somewhat Entertaining But Too Much Slang

Not sure if it's the writing or the narration. Too much Slang/baby talk. most of the book is over top and a bit annoying as well as too flashy throwing money around.

Just ok....disappointed and annoyed

I actually read the stories of the Morgan brothers before the series and liked those stories WAY better.

It had great potential but fell way off the mark.

First, it was way too long and drawn out. Josh and Kat’s story did not require 3 books. I was skipping chapters consistently and felt like I missed nothing as the story progressed.

Secondly, Josh started as a strong character but did he have to relinquish his man card in order to prove his love?

I found the proposal ridiculous. He felt the need to prove his love by bringing a third party in? And that made her happy? I get the need for the grand gesture but that was a giant fail!

The behavior at the wedding was off putting. I get wanting to laugh but, there are supposed to be older members of the family there...just saying.... and how many times did we need to hear about sharting? Once was enough. I am not a prude but, c’mon. It was only funny the first time.

I found some of the language absolutely ridiculous. I asked myself “how old is this author?” The cursing sounded like grade schoolers made it up. I am not adverse to foul language but never in my life have I heard someone say the phrase “oh my fuck”. And the characters used that phrase a lot. It actually annoyed me. And I don’t think the author (as the narrator) had ever heard someone say “holy crapola”. She said it so strangely it took me a while to figure out what she was saying.

I will admit there were some funny and sweet parts. But this is just not a story i will want to remember.

Shallow, elitist, unlikable characters

I'm actually disappointed in myself having spent 30+ hours listening to this trilogy. I completed the Hardigan Brother series (featuring Kat's brothers) and thought this would be a similarly outstanding series; not even close. The dialogue between the male characters is horrendous. It's like listening to meatheads at a steroid-ridden weight lifting gym or the lead character from American Psycho. The men and women are supposed to be intelligent, business leaders yet they speak in adolescent slang constantly. Except for the ending, which is a bit adolescent and vindictive, the fantasy sex scenes are hilarious. The characters are a bit elitist and shallow. They throw money around to get others to do their bidding. They have very few redeeming qualities.

3d & best in Cat & Josh series

When I started the 1st book I truly debated whether to keep going but I had a very boring tedious project to work on so I decided to stay with these series as a distraction. The story is entertaining but one of the shallowest both in terms of story & main characters out if all author's books I had read so far. Start with the 1st book & get ready for lots of "fuck yeh" from guys & "holly sheet balls" (really ???) from the main heroine plus much much more of "colorful" swearing.
I had enjoyed the culmination of the story and while others dislike author narrating her books, for this story her voice worked because she conveys "shallow, cocky and immature" exceptionally well. Previous books in these serious also pushed an envelope sexually, so if you find the story of spoiled young people partying, swearing & exploring kinky - entertaining, you might enjoy these series. There is some "character development" and it all ends with characters maturing & rather lovely, so to paraphraze: it is all well since it ended well.

Lauren Rowe Doesn’t Miss

Loved the book, series, spinoffs, EVERYTHING! And now you are my new best friend who recommends the best music. Every time a song or artist is mentioned I Spotify it and man, James Bay is my new drug!

I can't express my love for this book/series

I can't believe its over. I NEED MORE. This in combination with the Morgan Brothers Series is one of my favorite collections of books EVER. Its a series that is going to stick with me a very long time and I will certainly be revisiting. I love how this book played out, I loved the movie references, I still love the poker chips, I love the beginning middle and end. I just can't say how much I love everything about this book and this series. <3 Cat & Josh

💘Forever💘

A terrific ending the “The Club” series. Yes, this is Josh and Kat’s story but Jonas and Sarah makes an appearance, as do several of her family members and friends from prior books. Lauren Rowe gives us new storylines and builds on old ones. I am going to miss the Faraday’s and will definitely have a book/series hangover. Luckily, I have the “Morgan Brothers” to look forward to. Thank you, Lauren Rowe for this wonderful series and cast of characters. Also thank you & John Lane for such an entertaining audible listen.
