Summary
From USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Ashley Jade comes an edgy, enemies-to-lovers standalone romance about mistakes, forgiveness, and second chances.
He was the talented bad boy everyone wanted. I was the irrelevant geek everyone hated.
He was the sun...drawing all of us in. I was a black hole...taking up space. He was destined to be a star. I was destined to remain an insignificant no one.
Until he made me believe I was special...and then he destroyed me.
I never thought I'd see Phoenix Walker again after he broke my heart, but fate had other plans. One tour. Eight weeks. Forty shows. Countless opportunities to make him pay.
The world thought he was a god...but I know the truth.

oh darling, believe me when I beg you...
I enjoyed the story, the characters and for the most part the actors, (sometimes the guy doing the girl voice was annoying). I liked the elements of real life, dyslexia and physical abuse, grief and loss. I'm a sucker for a rock star story.
And the Beatles references were fun. Oh! Darling.

perfect blend of angst, spice and swooning
this book is a perfect blend of heart warming moments, spice and angst.
the ending is a bit rushed but it's ok because by the end you really feel like it's about time for these two to have their happily ever after.

The Audible version is just brilliant
I read the kindle version of this a while ago and loved it, so I thought given who was narrating this I’d give it a go. Definitely worth it.
The story holds up on a second go around, and the narrators do a great job. Two of the best in the business imho.
Although this is a HEA it doesn’t tie up all the loose ends and I note there’s a follow up duet involving Skyler and Memphis. (which I will purchase when the second one is available - I hate cliffhangers). I do think there is room for more Phoenix and Lennon though, in that it ended before we’d properly wrapped up their story - we knew what Lennon was going to do to fix things, but we didn’t see it play out. We don’t know how Lennon moves forward with her career, or what happens with Phoenix and his career given the issues.
The first few chapters in this are a bit slow, but it’s well worth sticking it with it until we get past school age P and L and we get to meet them again in adulthood, but you do need the earlier scene setting to get the full effect.
This story has lots of different sub-plots, great supporting characters and still enough loose ends to carry over into numerous books. I hope we get stories from Quinn and Storm (I’m hoping for a best friends sister/age gap one - obviously years into the future, as there is definitely potential there!)
Read the kindle or listen to the audio, you won’t be disappointed.

Amazing just doesn't seem good enough
This story will love rent free in my head for a long time to come
I love Teddy Hamilton and this is the first book I've had with Erin Mallon and it won't be my last, these two where perfect together.
The story had so much depth, and didn't skirt around or sugar coat anything. I cried , I laughed I felt everything and as a reader/ listener you can't ask for anymore than to be sucked into the world your reading about it was truly amazing.
