Story
Running parallel to the conventional history of Liverpool ... there is an unseen seam of supernatural stories that have been largely ignored by the strait-laced historians,' says Torn Slemen, who is, of course, fascinated by this other history and no subject matter is too strange or too terrifying to merit his scrutiny. While some stories may prove to be nothing more than urban myths, many turn out to be only too spine-chillingly true.

Lots of freaky tales!
This audiobook had mixed tales of weird, freaky, informative and was downright interesting and different.
I’m gonna need more! It’s mostly based in the 1 city but does dip into original tales that link, it does that so well, local lore and believed tales from people who went through them.
The narrator as always Nigel Peever keeps the atmosphere of the tales going, extra spooky when needed too! A very creepy background laugh...shudder!

Tales of the Unexplained
The stories in this book remind me of Unsolved Mysteries, X-Files, or other programs that feature mysteries case files. The narrator was absolutely brilliant. I found the stories to be only so-so, mainly because weird occurrences keep happening again and again, but nothing is ever really resolved or explained. The writer's intention may be to let the reader/listener fill in the blanks. If so, then this may just not be my cup of tea.
I was given a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for a fair review.
