Summary

The shocking true case of demonic possession from the reporters who first covered it in the Boston Herald. The case was discussed and you can watch the real exorcism footage in the blockbuster horror film The Conjuring.

When terrifying, bizarre things kept happening to a hard-working Massachusetts farmer, he did what anyone would do. First, he went to the local police chief. Then he went to his priest. And then he went to Ed and Lorraine Warren, the world's most famous demonologists, who investigated the Amityville horror and other terrifying cases of demonic possession. It was the Warrens who called in one of America's most renowned exorcists, Bishop Robert McKenna. What they all experienced is described in this extraordinary book. Absolutely terrifying. Absolutely true.

Liked it

Absolutely spellbinding, I really got absorbed by it. I am curious though about what 'Phil forced his son frenchie' to do as a child in the barn.
Maybe I missed the explanation but would have helped explain how the father got possessed.
Brilliant story and well narrated

Makes Ya Go Hmmm

Ed and Lorraine have had a courageous life. Coupled with the talents of Narrator Will Damron...makes this book an outstanding experience.

Tragic story

The tragic story of neglect and pressure ruins a life of more then just one person. It’s a tragic story leading to demonic possession caused from a child hood of abuse. Great and detailed portrail of Maurices life experience

excellent listen

I enjoyed this story. I liked how they provided ample back story to the main characters. the narrator was different from the other Warren books I've read but he did a good job with it

love the book!

This could be the 3rd movie of the conjuring involving the famer Frenchie/Maurice. Anyone who follows the movies and the books from Ed and Lorraine Warren would know what I'm talking about. It's a great book. luv luv luv it.

Fantastic book with scary portions

This was my second book by the Warrens and it was much scarier than the first. Great to listen to at work (if you have the option.) My only issue was the performance wasn’t as good as the first I read (in a dark place) but I would recommend this to anyone without a doubt

Was he possessed ?

I liked the story but the thing is that the father of Frenchie seems to be a frustrated and narcissistic father instead of possessed however they claim the the demon was transpassed from his father to him, I think it's more like repeated patrons

Very riveting, very intense story!

What made the experience of listening to Satan's Harvest the most enjoyable?

This book was very well written, and I loved the detailed background story of young Maurice. It gave the reader a very intimate look inside his troubled mind.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I liked that it wasn't just some cheesy monster story, but a realistic look into the views of everyone who had witnessed different events.

ending is kind of random

good story. narrator kept it interesting but the only flaw was the ending didn't really tie it up and seemed to pull from a differnt angle while it still kept with the story there was no mention of it till the very end . And if it had been played upon during the rest of the book it may have helped some of the characters narrative.
