Successfully potty training
I followed this book’s guidelines and successfully potty trained both of my kids in about a week total for each. I listen it when it was time to potty train my daughter. It was tough during their respective weeks, but I’m so happy I stuck with the program and now don’t need to stress about having to continue to potty train for months and months on end. The only thing that wasn’t true for me was the 20-30 month window. Both of my kids were much closer to 3 years (36 months), and I didn’t have any of the issues the author warned about with a child over 30 months (but every child is different). Whenever anyone asks how I potty trained my kids so successfully (and not to mention quickly), I direct them to this book.

Amazing
I think she is entitled to write with authority. Regarding lack of scientific studies, it seems that many people want to find research that supports what they really want to do. There is so much out there, you could cherry pick to support your method. The author is clear about this book being based on her experience, so I don't see the need to commission studies. If you need a method that cites a lot of scientific research, look elsewhere. If you want to do something that works, this is for you.

Fully support this method
I followed the method in this book and I was amazed. I took 3 days off of work + the weekend (so spent 5 days with my daughter, who was 26 months old). We had ups and downs during those days (and I give a lot of credit!) but by the end, she was fully potty trained. Sent her back to daycare on day 6 and she had NO accidents. I was amazed. Also, I did not do night training or nap training, but he just naturally stopped wetting her nap and nighttime diapers as we were training. So eventually, we just stopped putting diapers on her all together.

GOAT of Potty Training!
I could easily and have gushed about this book and its methods provided. Many times as a Parent I lack a solid plan and hesitate to choose one and move for better or worse. I cant recall where I read about this but we began at 2 with this method and although not perfect for everyone it was for us. You MUST be dedicated to following the plan laid out by the book which may require you take a few days to a week off from work. If you are a stay at home like me then that's the easy part. I read the book in its entirety 4 to 5 times all the while taking notes and highlighting passages for easy reference later. I was prepared and committed going into potty training and our son had shown he was ready as well so that may reflect our results. By day 6 or 7 our son was using the potty for #1 and accidents were almost zero. #2, of course, took awhile to master as we had an issue with diet. The stools were not easily passed and was holding up his progress. We introduced a Camelback water bottle into his routine along with an adjusted diet and daily fiber gummy and viola! Nighttime is a challenge and requires the most commitment but you can achieve results if you stick to the authors plan and stay committed and motivated. Nothing was perfect. There were issues and setbacks along the way but we did it! You can do it if you are ready!

Great start
We loved this method. Four days in, and our 33-month-old son is completely accident free! It's ok to tell your kid to go. The author believes you should only take your child when they ask or if they have an accident, but we have set times everyday when I make my son sit on the potty if he hasn't gone in awhile. Upon waking, when his little brother goes down for his nap, before lunch, at naptime, etc. About once every 2 hours. I think having a schedule has helped him learn to go before his bladder is fit to burst, and by the 4th day, he's been asking to go when he actually needs to, and not just when mommy makes him.

Best book
This method works. Period. In less than a week we went from clueless 22 month old to one who was self-initiating, pulling down his pants, and doing his business on the potty with very few accidents. I actually like the book and don't find it condescending at all. The author has many years of experience and is teaching a method that has worked for thousands of children. I highly recommended for this book to learn Potty Training in 1 Weekend.

The methods in this book work amazingly! It’s a short listen for busy parents who don’t have time to read a long drawn out how-to guide. He keeps it simple with a step by step process for successful potty training. I recommend this book to everyone for potty training!

Solid method-it works!
I’m lucky I listen this when I did because the author talks about how she believes it’s actually harder to potty train kids over 30 months old. My kid was exactly 30 months old when we dove in. She does have a chapter for working with older kids, as well as lots of info about how to handle it if you’ve already tried before and failed or gave up.
I would recommend this to any parent and wish I’d known about it with my first child.

This is very helpful for potty training. Our 2 year old loves it, it's really accelerated his potty training. sticks to our tile walls fine although if your tile isn't smooth, it may not stick but you can use the sticker pads they provide as well. The funny thing is the first time my son saw it he thought it was a toilet that he could sit on to go in and he tried to sit on it. Overall good quality for such a cheap price and like I said, has really accelerated his potty training. definitely a good purchase. I would recommend this.

Incredibly helpful guide!!
We had an early challenge getting our son to evacuate on the potty which we overcame with the author's tips and tricks. In addition to this excellent book. We were very pleased that our young son trained so quickly without power struggles or bribery. This is an effective, no nonsense method. Following the author's instruction puts the child first. It builds his or her confidence while allowing the parents to teach and lead effectively without cajoling. This is potty training as it should be without all of the "wait until your child is ready" silliness the pull ups companies would like you to buy. I highly recommended for this book.
