Lovers at Heart

The Story:
Lovers at Heart, Reimagined by Melissa Foster (Love in Bloom: The Bradens) I have a confession to make, I have not read Treat and Max’s original story, so how this is re-imagined I am not sure, but one thing I am sure off is that this is a truly heartwarming story of second chances by the very talented Melissa Foster.
Her Love in Bloom universe is immense and each book is different but all have characters that are real, relatable and easy to fall for.

Lovers at Heat is an emotional ride for Treat Braden and Max Armstrong. They shared a magical evening together and the day after based on a misunderstanding Max ran from Treat and he has been longing for her every since. Six months later Treat heads back home to his father ranch and family and a chance meeting sees him bump into Max! The desire he felt for all this time bubbles to the surface and he is determined not to let her run away again.

Max has been betrayed in the past and never in a million years did she expect to fall hard for Treat – a man who could have any woman on earth by the way, but he chose her. But her past insecurity and betrayal caused her to run, and Treat had no idea just what he had done.

Once they finally get together again, and Max explains her past, Treat tells her about his own betrayal and proves that he is nothing like her ex.

This is one emotional story for Max, and I absolutely loved every moment of it from the first to last page, I loved how they were together and how above all love prevails no matter what happens.

The Narration:
I was bit unsure of Sebastian York at first as his voice felt a tad emotionless to start with and slightly monotone, but as the chapters went on his voice grew with the story. I enjoyed the dual voices of Sebastian and Andi, which really brought the characters to life.

Great Read

Lovers at Heart was a great read by Melissa Foster. Treat and Max have a past that has continued to follow them. They now have a chance encounter that brings them together agin. Only this time all they need is honesty. I absolutely loved reading Treat and Max's story and can't wait to read more Braden's stories.

The most touching Melissa Foster book yet.........

Lovers at Heart, Reimagined is the most touching and heartfelt book by Melissa Foster that I have read to date. The book features Max Armstrong and Treat Braden, both of whom series listeners will remember from the Snow Sisters Trilogy. Max is the personal assistant to a film festival owner, and Treat is a successful resort developer, but they develop a professional friendship over the phone. However, when they meet in person for the first time, both are astounded by their instant chemistry. Of course, with a Foster book, the course to love can't proceed that smoothly, and a misunderstanding leaves them both angry and disillusioned...at least temporarily.

Max is so strong and formidable on the outside, but she secretly hides a fragile and delicate heart underneath all that armor. Thankfully, despite much resistance on Max's end, Treat refuses to let her go without a fight. He woos and seduces her with incredible patience, kindness and support. I found myself crying for Max several times during the story, but that just made the happily ever after so much sweeter when it arrived. This book was not in anyway sad; it just made me feel so much that I fluctuated between a goofy grin and ugly tears throughout. If you are looking for a sweet yet beautifully sexy romance with the usual deep thread of family relations present in all of Foster's work, Lover at Heart is the perfect choice.

I had previously listened to this book narrated by BJ Harrison, and, although he is a fantastic narrator, I must admit that I enjoyed the dual narration team of Andi Arndt and Sebastian York even more. All of these narrators are incredibly talented, but the chemistry between Arndt and York equaled or exceeded that between Max and Treat. With York and Arndt's unique delivery of the characters, I almost felt like I was listening to a brand new story, so that is a treat in itself. I hope Foster decides to reimagine all of her Love in Bloom stories.

I received a copy of this audiobook at my request in exchange for this honest review.

Sweet Love Story, a little slow

Lovers at Heart, Reimagined was a sweet (sorta) second chance romance between Treat and Max. These two were adorably sweet and their love was tangible. I found the middle of the story a little slow, but I really loved the ending and Max's journey to find her confidence. The Narration by And Arndt and Sebastian York was wonderful. They put so much emotion into the story and I found it very easy to listen to.

The start of a Great Series

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. The author did an awesome job with this story. Treat and Max were previously introduced in another series, however, their romance bloomed in this book. After being previously introduced, I couldn't wait to listen to their story. The rich and gorgeous Treat and the shy and work obsessed Max have a love story that delves in to the character and personalities of their relationship. The dynamics between these two is exciting. We all have baggage and Treat is very sensitive and reasonable about his and her history. His with the drama of his large family and her with a college boyfriend experience. The story took off and grabbed the reader/listener and didn't stop until the last word. Couldn't stop listening. I can't say anything about the narrators except that they are two of the best and two of my favorites. So looking forward to continuing this series. Treat has four brothers and a sister and I can't wait to enjoy their experiences.

Sweet Treat

Melissa Foster has this way of writing that gives you drama but then snatches it back before it develops into an annoyance. I love that! This book has MC'S with good communication skills that don't react without getting the full story. Chemistry that gives you hot steamy scenes. No mid story breakup. I love all of that and that's this book. No complaints. The narration is flawless. They compliment each other so well because they both give you their A game and you can clearly hear it.

Absolute Love Max and Treat!

I loved this new version of Treat and Max’s love story.

While planning her boss’s destination wedding, Max spoke to Treat quite often since the wedding was being held at one of his resorts. When they finally met in person, the chemistry between them was beyond anything Max could have imagined until a misunderstanding came between them.
What I really loved about this story, was the easy way Max and Treat forgave each other, second chances, facing past demons and finally putting their priorities in the right order to find their happily ever after.

One of the best stories from Melissa Foster! Sebastian York and Andi Arndt were fantastic!

Enjoyed it

I enjoyed the story about Treat and Max. They had some obstacles to work through, and Max had a lot of insecurities. It was nice to see how they got through all of that. Andi Arndt and Sebastian York did an amazing job narrating this book.

narrating duo that makes it work

Sebastian and Andi make the perfect combination when narrating a beautiful romance. There narration makes the story more. It takes you on a visual viewing of the romance while making your way around your day.

How do you give an old book that has been reimagined a review that does not give away the new reimagined possibilities? I am not sure, but I will tell you that from someone that has read the original and the clean-romance version, this one has that something extra that you didn't know you were missing, but somewhere within you were wanting to know more about. Treat and Max were a puzzle that needed to be put together. They both intrigued you from the start of there meeting for the first time in Nassau for the Snow sisters wedding. There encounters were one sided for us and the looks were just leading one to want more. Now, we get that chance to see just a bit more of what we were wanting to see from the first.

If you have not read the first book, this will be the one you want to go with. It is all the extras but mixed in smoothly that you wont even notice it was missing from the first one and you will not miss the things that were in the first and cut out of this one. This one is most certainly named correctly with the added Reimagined. You will fall in love with Treat and Max and all the others family, friends, coworkers.

The first of the Bradens of Weston to be coupled up finds that his story has a different spin put on it. You, the reader, get to have a look at more of Treat and Max. I liked it very much. Melissa Foster made her 7-layered iced cake into a show piece.
