Summary

Daisy Honey fled Trusty, Colorado, after years of battling rumors sparked by her gorgeous looks and lust-inducing name. Now a physician on the brink of a promising career, she reluctantly returns home when her father is injured in a farming accident. Daisy expects the small-town girls who hurt her in the past to take cheap shots again - but she's completely unprepared for a run-in with tall, dark, and wickedly sexy Luke Braden, the only man who has ever stood up for her - and the man she's never forgotten.

Luke Braden is handsome, wealthy, and the best damn gypsy horse breeder in the Midwest. After a restless youth, he's finally ready to settle down - only connecting with women is nothing like connecting with horses, and he's never met a woman worth the energy. After an arrest in a neighboring town, Luke's past comes back to haunt him, and he realizes that his inability to find love runs deeper than he ever imagined.

A chance encounter sweeps Luke and Daisy into a world of passion. For the first time ever, Luke feels a connection, but Daisy's life in Trusty is anything but permanent, and Luke can't manage a future until he puts his past to rest.

Taken by Love is part of the Love in Bloom series. While it can be heard as a stand-alone novel, for even more enjoyment, you may want to listen to the entire Love in Bloom series in order. Characters from each sub-series appear in future books.

Great intro to the Bradens of Trusty

I have read this book several times and have now listened to it. You forget how great the Trusty Bradens are. This is Luke and Daisy. They met when in school but lost contact when Daisy moved away Now back in town for a short while, Daisy can't wait to escape the small town community that mocked her in her shool years. But now she is being embraced by the same community and Luke and finds it harder to leave. Great introduction the the Bradens of Trusty.

Sweet and Sexy

I liked this book. the story was sweet and homey. there wasn't any bullshit angst or drama. it was just a story of two people falling i love and trying to figure out their futures. I wanted something light and I got exactly what i wanted. While there are many books in the series before this one the book can be read as a stand alone. I wasn't lost at all even with other family members being mentioned. Hi-5 to Melissa Foster!!

Story 4
Narrator 3.5 his slight southern drawl was NICE!

I need more

Now I have to read all the other books. The narrator pulls you into the story with ease. I kinda like how the suspense of the story was emotional. You really work through the past problems with daisy and Luke. I smiled through the whole book.

Worth a read

Such a lovely love story about two people who've known each other for ages, went their own ways for a time and then met up again and after a while they realize that they are in fact in love with each other. There are a few ups and downs in their environment while they decide how they can make a life together and they eventually sort themselves out.
This was one of those books that is beautifully written, holds ones interest and I just hated that it ended, but there are others in this series so YAY!
The narration of this audiobook is superb. Such a beautiful voice.

A very sweet and sexy tale

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the interplay between Luke and Daisy where they were both unsure of their own worth. Luke had a past he was hiding from and so did Daisy. Listening to them finally open up to each other was so emotional.

What does B.J. Harrison bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I don't have much time for reading these days, so I would say I love to listen while doing other things. B.J. Harrison brings warmth and snark to the story which makes it all the more enjoyable.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

It's not what they say about you that matters, but who you are.

Any additional comments?

I've always enjoyed Melissa Foster's stories and Taken By Love is no exception.

Very enjoyable and easy to follow while I was working in the gardens. The story line was wonderful and classy romantic with a twist of slight ecstasy.

Fun and Sassy Romance

Would you consider the audio edition of Taken by Love to be better than the print version?

Since I hadn't read this title in print I can't answer this question, however I purchased it because it sounded like it might be a light-hearted romance that would be fun to listen to at work and it completely exceeded my expectations. I really enjoyed the story line and am not looking into more of the series.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved so many things about the story. I was looking for something fun and I found it.

Which scene was your favorite?

There is a scene in the book where the community comes together to run a clinic. I loved the whole thing.

Luke and Daisy

I enjoyed Luke and Daisy's story. Daisy Honey returns to her hometown to help out with the family farm after her dad gets hurt but does not plan on staying. She is now a doctor and is working for the clinic in Trusty. Her issue with being back in Trusty is she has not forgotten the rumors that were spread about her during her high school years, which none of them were true. Luke Braden owns a farm and breeds Gypsies horses. He has issues from his past that he is trying to overcome. When a chance encounter at the cafe in town, Luke and Daisy rekindle their friendship which turns into more. Will Luke and Daisy be able to overcome their pasts to find their HEA or will Daisy decide Trusty is not the place she wants to put down roots.

WOW

As I finish each story I fall more in love with the Bradens and their cousins. In this story the the love between Luke and Daisy jumps right off the pages. I loved it...when I reviewed the book on line I hit 4 stars when it should be 5 or higher. Also the narration is great I could listen to this narrator all day long

Sweet Romance

This is the first book, and a great start of The Bradens at Trusty Series, a sub-series of the amazing Love in Blooms Series. Luke and Daisy's story is sweet, fun, sexy, and romantic. Daisy is a wonderful character. Luke is handsome. They are perfect together. Their story is beautifully written. B.J. Harrison did a great job with the narration. This is a perfect light-hearted Summer listening, and I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listen to the next book in the Series, Fated for Love.
