Great book

Great book. It gets a bit technical in some spots but is still understandable. The information is great and really helped me to understand how and why to fast. Fasting has made a great difference in my health (not just in weight loss). I have less pain and inflammation, my allergies are much improved and I've had a wonderful increase in my energy levels.

First fasting book

This is my first fasting book but it was presented in such a good fashion that I started the 16 hour fast right away. I've only been doing it for a week but it feels good.

Excellent

I have been doing weekly 4 day water fasts for the past year and have seen tremendous results. I love that this book and acknowledging the benefits of fasting. I am so thankful to know that the key to losing fat is simply controlling insulin.

Fasting Works

Down 15lbs in 2 weeks following the 16 & 24 hour fasts. And that’s with eating fast foods (I’m working on the healthy eating still). Fasting is soooo much easier than anyone would ever believe. Reducing calories makes me want to eat my couch cushions but fasting is all about realizing your body isn’t hungry, your mind is.

Very informative and easy to follow.

This book takes the mystery and fear out of fasting. I was skeptical to begin with but incorporated intermittent fasting into mulch diet and continue to lose weight without being hungry. I now plan on fasting for several days after my family vacation. The best thing about the book is that i have learned when to fast and when not to!

Well written book. Provides reasoning behind a powerful tool to regain health and quality of life. The theory is profound and yet so simple. Why didn't we think of the before? Xzavier is brilliant. Fasting is working well for my husband and for me.

Well written and makes so much sense! I feel so much better! Combining keto diet with fasting is results for me. My weight is going down, the fatigue and inflammation are greatly reduced, and my mood is significantly improved.

A teaching in the intricacies of fasting. Learned a lot and have put the principles into action. In 7 weeks I've lost 17lbs, Lowered my Blood Glucose average under 100. I'm feeling great.

Love this book

Love this book! I needed direction , being a diabetic, and all the information I need to fast successfully is here! Additionally, the book is exceptionally well made. It will last a long time without falling apart. I appreciate the finish on the book, it will hold up well in a kitchen atmosphere.

basic information about this type of diet

the first four chapters are just background information about why other diets don't work and some of the foundations of this diet. the last 10 chapters are the most informative but they still are not detailed enough. I still have many questions about this type of diet.

Nothing here that you can't quickly find online

I was very disappointed. I expected more details on the fasting that perhaps I could not find online. I there weren't any examples or discussions about how the different fasts compared.

It does work

Excellent audio book . I implemented it and in 12 days fasting I lost 20 pounds and I really felt great. My blood sugar went from 177 to 85. Will do it again.

I’ve tried various forms of IF & wanted more info. I devoured the information in this book & currently almost done with a 60 hour fast. Definitive Guide to Fasting

Indeed a definitive guide to fasting. This is a book I've been waiting for ever since I began the Ketogenic Lifestyle. It can prove difficult sifting through all of the "opinions" of how and why to fast online...I'm glad we now have an actual trust source to be used as a reference for fasting.Truly a great to listen.

It works

Following the guidelines in this book has helped me lower my set-weight point. Before fasting, I could never stay under a certain weight. Now, I've been under that weight for over 5 months, easily. Even if I lapse or go on vacation and let loose - when I come back, I am still under that particular weight.
