Summary

A storm is brewing and so is a budding romance.

I've been told I'm a force to be reckoned with. That I blow onto the scene like a tornado. I've stopped caring if that's a compliment or a dig. Now I just wear it like a badge of honor. So when life threw me a curveball and I ended up going from a cushy job in New York City to the tiny Southern town of Grimm Cove, I thought I was ready for anything.

Ha! Not quite.

You see, Grimm Cove is teeming with supernaturals. And since I've known they exist for a hot minute, I'm still in a state of total shock. When I learn that I come from a long line of witches and demon slayers, the stakes (pun intended) get even higher and sharper.

These monsters aren't make-believe. They're out for blood.

I'm trying to decide if having the alpha of the local wolf-shifter pack nipping at my heels is an asset in this fight, or if he's one more person I need to watch my back around. I just wish he wasn't so sexy and didn't smell so good. He'd be a lot easier to resist. I have enough going on in my life as it is. I really do not have time for all this fated mate crap everyone keeps telling me about. My head and heart are at war and now isn't the time for distractions, especially since it’s painfully clear that something evil wants me dead.

Very enjoyable.

Its funny. Its smart and it shows how strong women are. It also showcases how your true soul mate is someone you can rely on even if your hesitant to do so. Its witty and a really good listen.

Magic and Mayhem in Grim Cove

Having read the book previously, I knew that the story was already awesome. This is the second visit to Grimm Cove and a return to the fabulous characters that Mandy has created. A combination of strong fierce women who will stand up for each other and a good dose of magic, snark and laughter.
I found Allyson, and easy to listen to narrator. She capably separated the characters and carried the personalities of each beautifully.
Overall a well written book with fabulous narration making this a worthwhile purchase.

Thoroughly Entertaining!

I loved the narration in this one! Allyson Voller did a great job with creating the right feel for the story. I'm not American so I cannot say exactly, but the accents for each character and personality was quite entertaining! I enjoyed the story and in this one, we get more of a backstory on Dana and her family as well as other elements and characters in Grimm Cove. I really liked how Mandy brings people that are completely different together in a way that creates harmony. I also love the maturity and sisterhood highlighted in this book, and this series. If you're looking for an entertaining read, with lots of laughs, a few tears and a lovely HEA, this book is for you. It has a mostly light-hearted feel, yet there are some difficult themes that are dealt with along the way. Which goes to show that you have to take life with a grain of salt sometimes, and do your best with what you have!

Blew Me Away - Just Like a Tornado!

I read the e-book back in October and really enjoyed it and when I was given the opportunity to listen to the audiobook for an honest review, I jumped at the chance! I absolutely loved it! Allyson Voller narrated the book beautifully. The characters came alive and I felt the bond that Dana, Marcy and Poppy have so much more in this version. Those girls really do have each other’s back. Dana is such a strong, empowering woman and the interactions with Jeffery were so funny in parts! I highly recommend listening to this. You won’t be disappointed.

Even better in Audio!

I read this book first right after it came out, but then I also wanted to hear it. I am so glad I did. Poppy, Dana and Marci came alive even more. it was even funnier with the author giving them each their voice and she does awesome accents. The attraction between Jeffrey and Dana is still great. I think Marci is my favorite character overall. I love the way these books focus mostly on the friendship between the women. More fantastic work!

Another awesome book

Love Nona and her crew rofl. Jeffrey learned & Marcie is the absolute best. Who will they pair her up with? Travis? Stratton? Brahm? Can’t wait for the next book.

Life after 40 is a surprise for Dana

Who says life is all downhill after forty? They sure haven't met Dana. When Jeffery, pack alpha and more, meets her he is in for it. Oh, not as much as he'd like. He's given up on finding his mate and has plenty of non-committed hookups. He's amazed at his feelings for Dana and that she keeps turning him down. No woman turns him down.

The relationships with the living-in ghosts, her witchy friends, their relations with special abilities, and finding out more about the supernatural and her own abilities make for a fun, action-packed read full of surprises, steam, and some literary fun as well. The spunk and strength of the women in the story and their sassy comments keep the reader laughing out loud. Let's just say these alpha males are not prepared for the women they want. When things get scary don't expect them to hide behind the guys.

Be prepared for some fun and the narration with all the appropriate accents. A great listen.

Snarky paranormal fun!

This storyline is pure entertainment. Dana's sarcastic, stubborn personality is highly entertaining - possibly because it clearly resembles my own. This book also brings about some fun surprises in the overall plot of the series.

The narrator managed to nail Dana's accent, and brings life to all the characters without being overdone.

Not as Good as First Book

Almost stopped listening to this book, the first 4 chapters were painfully boring and weird. If you stay with it, it gets back to current time, and the story gets better.

I'm on the fence with this one, not sure at this point if I will continue this series.
I'll re-listen to this again before downloading next in this series.

Narration is just okay.

Snarky goodness

What do you get when you cross a snarky goodness and a small town life and mix in paranormal craziness? You get Hexing with A chance if Tornadoes. Dana came to Grimms cove to support her bestie in her life
Changes but she got more then she bargained for. Crazy witches, werewolves vampires and now things from the darkness. She also
May have found her love. Jeffery is the alpha of the local pack and he wants to get a piece of the new girl he’s deemed legs. This story is filled with so much snark and witty banter it will make you giggle all the way through. But don’t let it full you because when things get supernatural Dana’s inner bad self comes out. Taking names and asking all the questions later. She may bit be ready for the answers though! A super fun installment of Grimms cove. A story about ladies a little older and all the fun crazy that comes with paranormal reads and midlife insanity! The voice of Allyson was perfections for Dana! The New York accent and attitude were perfect!!!
