Summary
**This is Robert's story before he became the Robert you know in the Forty Proof Series.**
In 1876, we were called to Savannah, Georgia to help with an infestation of demons. If we'd known what we, my wife Evangeline, and I, were walking into, we'd have run the other way.
As it was, we shared tea with a vampire and stepped into a battle we did not understand until it was too late.

I love a good back story
Everyone loves Robert!! It was really good to not only get a bit of Roberts back story but also to find out how it all went down before. Shannon has once again written a brilliant story and Jake Bordeaux was a perfect choice for the narration.

Great novella
I loved this sideline story about Robert. There are so many (what I think are) ‘aha’ moments and it’s so well written. The narration is well done, too. Definitely a great little listen!

What a Friend
Loved this novella and it filled in Robert’s backstory perfectly. As always, Shannon’s writing is perfection. The narration by Jake Bordeaux on the Audible version brought our friend, Robert, to life marvellously. Just brilliant.

Great addition to the series.
This was a really interesting story giving some insight to Robert's history. It gave insight to his origins and his motivation to help Bree. Great narration also.

Enjoyable
Enjoyable and interesting novella giving more details about Robert. You don't need to have listened to The Forty Proof series to enjoy this but it's a great series, so I recommend you do.
