S.M has pulled it out the bag again. Love the fact the main character is not young. Usually I buy the book then audio at discount but didn't have the option but loved the first book so much I couldn't wait and spent £16 on Audible for 2nd book. Like the idea of the shadow world and ghosts and the usual shapeshifters etc. Characters kept me intrigued and the two love interests...what will happen? If you like this genre then we'll worth the read.

I really enjoyed it his narration of Midlife Bounty Hunter. There’s a really great bunch of characters alongside Breena who is proving a lot smarter but perhaps not fitter than the other newbies in the hollows group. Her no nonsense attitude along with her empathy, insight, kindness and good guessing make her a formidable opponent and desirable ally.
Bring on the next in the series.

I loved it, it was refreshing to hear a story where the demon slaying hero was my age, and not some young fit girly. It was funny, exciting and intriguing. If you like Buffy, or true blood, Anita Blake this is for you.

Along with this....aforementioned amazing book....is the audio. The narrator is one of my favourite female narrators to date, Lauren Fortgang. Her talent, far better than most, is truly shown in this.
