Summary

Tremarnock is a classic Cornish seaside village where Liz has found sanctuary for herself and her young daughter, Rosie. From early in the morning with her job as a cleaner till late at night waitressing in the restaurant, Liz works all the hours God sends to provide for them both.

But trouble is waiting just around the corner. As with all villages, there are tensions, secrets - and ambitions.

Sickly sweet

An ok, light hearted listen, but had the potential to be so much more. The lead character is so ridiculously sickly sweet and selfless, she actually becomes pretty irritating and a bit wet. I'm sure there's a good moral in there, but it felt a bit preachy. Rather than finishing the book feeling wistful for the characters but satisfied by a good story, I'm left feeling irritated, and annoyed at the ridiculously far fetched ending.

A Rosie blossom book

I love this book, the things that happen to Rosie are so true to life having gone through the same things. The readers voice was really good bringing the book alive.
This book would suit anyone who likes heart warming books, I finished this book in 2 days loved it.
I gave 5stars because it made me laugh, sad, happy and angry, you need to read it!!!

A big hug in a book

I loved every minute of this book because you could believe every character - would love there to be more about the same characters. Did not want it to end full of love, warmth and above all hope!

What an awful book.

This book is absolutely awful, I tried and tried with it but couldn't get past chapter 3. It made me want to be sick.

Dull dull dull

I gave up, nothing seems to happen. Maybe it does eventually but I couldn't take another day in the life of a single mother with three jobs! I won't be reading anything else by this author

A steady & gentle listen - a good all rounder

I liked that this book has enough content to keep you engaged but wasn't too complicated that you could dip in and out and listen without too much concentration. Well narrated, well worth a listen.

Fantastic hart felt read

I really loved this book, couldn't put it down.
I finished reading it with in five days.
I hope one day there is a part two....

The book is about a mum and her little girl.
The mum is a Single parent bringing up Rosey who has a disability.
Unfortunately Rosie gets ill and all the people in the Village help out.
However there some great twists and turns in the book.
I don't want to give to much away.

The character is was fantastic.
My favorites where, Rosey, Lizzie, pat, Robbert and love day....

A moving story

I thoroughly enjoyed this book which was beautifully read and showed great insight into human nature and all its frailties. I would highly recommend it.

A beautiful story

A beautiful story of love and relationships, heartache and joy. A great story enhanced by a good narrator.
