Summary

I'm his entertainment. His toy. Payment on a debt.

I tell myself I hate him, but every time he walks into the room, my body betrays me. How can I want him and fear him in the same moment?

They told me he'd mess with my head. Make it go to war with my body.

But I didn't realize it would be complete anarchy.

I should've known better. When Mount's involved, there are no rules.

I will not surrender. I will not show weakness. I'll stand my ground and make it out of this bargain with my heart and soul intact.

But he has other plans....

5 Hellion Stars

Kaboom! No words! This is the reason that I wait until all the books are out in a series/trilogy, and right now, I’m so so happy I waited. With an ending like this one, I’m not sure I’m gong to be able to sleep tonight, I need answers now! I just love love love Lachlan Mount, the ultimate bad boy (we’re talking really really bad), and a true alpha male with a need to dominate in the dirtiest of ways. In book 2 however, we do see a slightly softer side to him as he spends more and more time with Keira and it endears me to him even more if that’s even possible. Keira
Kilgore remains as feisty and loveable as ever, not bending to his every demand. What a perfect power couple. I so need these two to get their happy ever after. Just so you know, I’ve already had a sneak at book 3, I have no patience, I’m going in right now. Narration is better than good, I couldn’t picture a more perfect duo for these two, thank you Grace Grant and Joe Arden.

Great book but why is it 3 books??

This is a wonderful book but I’m really tired of authors leaving cliffhangers and releasing the next book a month later. I’d rather you triple the price and do it all at once or charge 3 credits at once so we don’t have to wait.

Stop the multi-part publications

I’m sick of spending credits on 5 hour titles with cliffhangers. This is a classic March technique and it’s wearing very thin.

Truly wish this was 1 book or at the most 2

Waiting for and paying for a 3rd book that is one story is annoying and expensive. Enjoy the series of recognizable characters but not the breaking of one book into 3. Also at least more character development in this but hero is still very unsympathetic and heroine is a pretty whiney still. Female narrator is only so so.

The "Mount Effect" is the real deal!

My oh my. I'm officially under the "Mount Effect". Meghan upped the ante with Defiant Queen and won tenfold. This book was fantastic.

I really liked Lachlan Mount in Ruthless King but I fell in love with him in Defiant Queen. He is one alpha male that I would do whatever he told me to. We get to find out a little bit more about Mount in this book which I thoroughly enjoyed.

The chemistry between Mount and Kiera is Off. The. Charts. I was pretty sure my kindle was going to start smoldering because it was HOT.

Defiant Queen is full of twists and turns that will keep you captivated. The pace of this story was perfectly executed. Meghan does a great job of making you love the anti-hero. I can't wait to dive into the third and final installment of this series. I know it won't disappoint. This book has solidified that every single Meghan March book will be an instant one-click.

Whisky and freedom

This entire book Keira was determined that whisky and freedom was all she needed but she was just lying to herself. I personally am glad that her ruthless king Mount will never give her that freedom. Soon enough she will realize that she is right where she belongs because the chemistry between her and Mount is unmatched. The push and pull between them is perfect. Just the right amount of hate, lust and untapped love.

I am extremely excited to get to read the final installment in this trilogy. So far this is meghan march's best work in my opinion. She has created one extremely sexy and very complicated anti-hero whom I just can't resist. A strong woman who will never stop resisting, and a heart stopping story that no one can resist.

I highly recommend this trilogy And the audiobook in particular. Grace and joe did a great job bringing the story to life.

Horrible narration

I am a bit of a literary snob but I have a little secret passion for Megan March’s books ;) I have listened to the all available Books. The first book in this series was irritating but hoped the second would get better. I’m actually halfway through and had to write you do now because it’s driving me absolutely bonkers listening to it because the narration is so awful!! I hate to be mean about the narration but she is not suited to this kind book and is beyond irritating. I have absolutely no empathy with the character and really don’t particular like her which Hasn’t happens before in MM’s books. They guy is ok but her version of his voice just at kills it for me. Such a shame.
