fantastic story line I was hooked from start to finish

Although I read book 6 in this series first (it was awesome, hence starting from the beginning), it did not take away from my enjoyment of the first book. This book follows bad girl (running away from the law) Charlie and good boy (running for Senator) Simon as they try to navigate a relationship based based on non truths. I loved the twist on the bad boy image (bad girl Charlie for a change). The story, told in dual POV, was fast paced and kept me entertained throughout the whole book. I'm definitely starting book 2 in the very near future because I need more of this complex, highly entertaining group.

Didn’t want to stop reading this book. Great story from the start, you feel concern, happy, sad, romance, the ups and downs till you reach the end of the story, really good reading.

Holter Grahams voice is a little harsh 4 this part but still enjoyed story, 3rd time listening.

Simon and Charlie are great characters in this exciting romantic suspense. He’s a nice guy and a public figure in the town. She’s a tattooed beauty who’s hiding from her past. But will she risk being found for the man who could be her future?
I loved it and can’t wait to read the next book one in this standalone series. Great narrators!
