Summary
Victor Dimir moved to America with his traditional Romanian parents when he was just a child. His Romani parents taught him their traditions and how to be a shrewd business man. But it was the attention of a classmate at school that taught a teenage Victor about his sexuality. When he came out to his parents he knew it would be difficult for them to understand, but he never expected them to disown him.
Andrew Jones grew up with a single mom and his grandmother teaching him about life; he had an absentee father at best. The only thing the man ever did for Andy that stuck was buy him a camera for his 13th birthday. When Andrew went off to college on a scholarship to study photo journalism, he wound up falling in love with his Romanian roommate.
They became inseparable and wound up starting their own business together; a gay porn website where people could go and watch romantic gay porn instead of the rough and tough, or wham bam thank you man crap that was flooding the Internet at that time. After 10 years together, they were still perfectly happy, but they didn't even realize something was missing until they met a broken young man that needed a family.
Matthew Carlson was homeless, jobless, and broken. He'd been on his own since he was 16 when he ran away from home after being brutally assaulted by several other young men that he thought were his friends, and then being told he brought it on himself for being gay by his parents. Matthew has done a lot of things these last few years just to get by. When he finds the flyer for All Cocks, he decides to call and see where it leads. What has he got to lose?
Matthew has deep-rooted scars that aren't usually visible on the outside. But when he walks into All Cocks, both Victor and Andrew see them, they also see him. Can three men that didn't even realize they needed each other get past the stigma of society to find a place of happiness together?

Sweet MMM story
Victor and Andy are inseparable and also have a business together: A gay porn website. Matthew lives on the street and accidentally finds a flyer from All Cocks. He has no one to care about when he's shooting porn and he's making money. It seems to be perfect for Matthew.
At the job interview, he meets Victor and Andrew for the first time. The two immediately notice that Matthew has deep-seated scars.
I quite enjoyed the storyline surrounding the three men. My heart broke for Matthew as you learned piece by piece in flashbacks what happened to him.
But also Victor and Andrew have to carry a baggage from their past. The only question is whether the three of them will be able to put the ghosts of the past to rest and look forward.
I really liked the protagonists. Victor and Andrew are interesting characters and I liked Matthew right from the start.
It was nice to watch the relationship of the three develop and how they interact with each other. I was captivated by the story and listened to it in just one day.
T.M. Smith wrote the story in an emotional and compelling way.
The narrator of the first volume wasn't bad, but Joel Leslie is just better. He narrated the book very emotionally and engagingly. Victor had an authentic accent and it was an absolute pleasure to listen to Joel Leslie bring the story to life!
I recommend "Fame and Fortune": There are lots of emotion, hot sex, hurt/comfort. I'm looking forward to continuing the series and am glad to hear them narrated by Joel leslie.
Terrific narration and great story.

Great book - Throuple
Great book - Throuple
I was fortunate to receive both audiobooks 1 and 2 of this series for an honest review.
I think this should have been book 1 of the series, but we wouldn't have had Joel Leslie read it.
Great characters, full of depth, hurt, comfort. Lots of sex. Throuple, MMM. Pasts that need to be kept there in the past. A few triggers for people.
The narration was so much better than book one, but Joel Leslie is a great narrator.
It brought the characters to life, and the story becomes so much better.

A wonderfully tender hurt / comfort romance!
Long-time couple, Victor and Andrew, own and run m/m internet porn production house, All Cocks. Matthew is drawn to All Cocks after years of living on the street. At first, Victor and Andrew want nothing more than to protect and nurture the damaged Matthew, but over time all three develop feelings for each other. This was such a tender hurt / comfort mmm romance with well-written dialogue and an absorbing plot. We were introduced to the characters in book 1 (Gay For Pay), and it was wonderful to get Victor and Andrew’s backstory as well as Matthew’s. The story had a good balance of pathos, plot, and steam. Joel Leslie narrates the audiobook with his usual expertise, perfectly capturing the gentle, loving, hurt / comfort tones.

Intriguing & Romantic Story
I'm going to say honestly that this one almost lost me because of the narration. I'm glad I persevered because the story was a good one, but I should have read it instead. These are well written, emotional characters with important stories to tell and I hate to say it, but I felt the narrator trivialized their feelings. There's a lot of hot sex, and T.M Smith writes some terrific scenes... I know this series would work for me so when I have the time I'm going to go back and just read it.

as good as the ebook
The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.
PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!
To my ratings:
5* - very very good
it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

a family by choice
This is where we learn about the family that Victor, Andy and Mattie have created. There are so many tender moments between Victor and Andy who have been together a long time.
When they open their home to the young and vulnerable Mattie the very foundation of their home is compromised, until both Victor and Andy confess their mutual feelings to each other and their new boy.
When Mattie truly believes that he is safe with the two men his feelings blossom into love. This is a great story of trusting your gut feeling in life and opening your heart to all possibilities.

Enjoyable
In the first book ‘Gay for Pay’ we met Victor, Andrew and Mattie as the established throuple who own and manage All Cocks Inc, the online Gay Porn site.
In this book get to see how Victor and Andrew first meet in collage, start a relationship and the All Cocks Inc. 10 years later, whilst still madly in love with each other, their relationship as strong as ever and their company becoming very successful, Mattie, a homeless, damaged young man, comes to All Cocks for an interview as a model.
Andrew and Victor can see something in Mattie, the hurt and pain, and give him a home.
Over time Mattie learns to trust the older couple and feelings develop between all three.
I really enjoyed this audiobook, the development of the relationship between the three men was slow and believable.
My only complaint would be that some areas of the book appeared to be rushed and details brushed over.
The authors decision to change narrator was a huge success.
Joel Leslie was superb and I’m glad to see he narrates the rest of the series.

What a throuple!
This is quite a fast paced story covering five years of the relationship between Victor, Andrew and Mattie. Whilst it is book 2 I didn't feel I missed out on not having read book 1. It works as a standalone. The story has got me interested in the rest of the series so I will be moving on to book 1.
Andrew and Victor are an established couple who have set up their business, All Cocks porn site, the basis for the series. Mattie is homeless and seeks a job with the company. All the characters are really well defined, Victor strong business man, Andrew more artistic side, which compliments Victor, and Mattie who is given a chance to grow. They are all lovable characters but I was draw more towards Mattie who brings an innocent joy and enthusiasm to the story. Mattie's traumatic past is only one of the central themes, the story is also how the 'throuple' build their relationship.
Joel Lesley is a very skilled narrator, he really brings the drama and action in the story to life. His characterisations are excellent. He makes the personalities of each main character shine through.
I would recommend this book. It is fast paced and interesting enough that I would definitely listen to it many times.
I was given a copy of this audio by the narrator in exchange for a fair and honest review.

An emotional, hurt/comfort, opposites attract, M/M/M romance!
This is the second book in the series and can be enjoyed as a standalone but I recommend reading this in the series order, as all three of the MC's are introduced in book 1.
We get an overview of how Victor and Andrew connected, and later we get a back story on their third, Matthew whose story was moving and heartbreaking.
The steamy scenes were hot, passionate and well written.
This book is quite different from the first one in the series and takes on a more emotional overtone.
Joel Leslie's narration was apt for this and I found his audio delivery to be enjoyable.

Fantastic menage - excellent narration
We met this “throuple” in book one, so we “know how it ends” ;)
We get a very short back story on how Victor and Andrew met but the majority of the story is Matthew meeting the guys and his story.
I loved the background information and thought that the author did a fantastic job of showing us the love between Andrew and Victor without fixating on it, that way when we introduce Matthew it seems like a really solid triad without feeling like he was just an accessory.
For the most part I love how Victor is portrayed – protective, alpha, a bit “European” – but sometimes I think the way his speech is denoted feels a bit juvenile and less like someone who is learning a new language and more like someone who is learning to speak at all.
The other thing I don’t love about this series is the author lacks contractions in her writing. Natural speech and writing uses contractions almost all the time and this stands out as missing in this series.
I love the sense of family we get with All Cocks and the continuing thread that connects each story to the other.
I’ve really enjoyed this series and I think books one and two are my absolute favorite.
The audiobook for book one was fantastic and I hope we see more of them turned into audio format.

Really happy Joel Leslie's taken over!
Any additional comments?
I really liked this installment in the All Cocks Stories Series. What I liked best (besides the narration) was the setup, as there's some really good hurt/comfort here with Matthew's past, and even though we get lots of hot sex I was happy it focused more on the relationship between Victor, Andy and Matty than how many times they could have sex.
That being said, this is a short novel that encompasses over five years, which means that while the focus is on their relationship, it's at the expense of relationship development. We're told about milestones rather than getting to experience many of them, which, I'll be honest, I would have preferred a few more chapters if it meant getting that backstory.
That could also be because I love Joel Leslie's narration. Once again, Leslie doesn't disappoint. His character voices, pacing and timing were all terrific and just made me want more.
Though this is book two in the series, the story actually begins long before book one (Gay for Pay) and continues through the timeline of book one until after...so while you could ostensibly read this out of order, I wouldn't recommend it. Definitely start with book one and then move on to Fame and Fortune.
Bottom line: This is a thoroughly entertaining story with lots of emotion, hurt/comfort, hot sex, and terrific narration. I'm definitely looking forward to continuing the series, especially with Joel Leslie in the narrator's seat.

Kind of dull
Victor and Andrew run a successful company in the porn industry. They are deeply in love with each other. Along comes 18-year-old Matthew with some heavy baggage looking for love and acceptance. Matthew is hired as a model but is quickly adopted by Victor and Andrew who slowly fall in love with him. The characters weren't very deep except for maybe Matthew however there is very little conflict and angst in the story to make it interesting. The best thing about this audiobook was Joel Leslie's narration which saved it for me. I'm not sure if I will read any others in this series at this point.

Sweet story with a touch of angst
Fame and Fortune is a sweet story with a touch of angst and a talented narrator. This one is a nice way to while away a Saturday afternoon. After focusing on the initial stages of the relationship, the story follows the relationship arc through several years, so it does a good job of providing a lot of satisfaction on the relationship front. I do wish some of Matthew's past demons could have got their rightful comeuppance, and I got a little thrown out of the story by some of my own questions on the legalities of the final relationship solution, but overall, this was a very enjoyable listen.

Sweet MMM story
3.5 rounded up for the narration.
I enjoyed this sweet MMM story. Victor and Andrew are an established couple who met in college and have been together for 10 years. They have established a successful gay porn business where they treat their models like "family"; so kind of like The Johnnies series, but much lighter. Matthew is a homeless 18 year old who ran away from home after being attacked at 16 and his parents being a**holes about it. He makes his way to the porn office to audition to be a model and meets Andy and Vic and the romance begins.
As I said it is a sweet story with lots of romance. However, it is told from the 3rd person POV; not really my favorite. Sometimes I had trouble following b/c the POV changes so quickly. Also, despite a very dark subject like rape is introduced, I thought it really was superficially addressed. The first half of the book covering the "falling in love" is well developed. But then the story goes lightning fast. It covers five years into the relationship in about 15 mins. There is a little drama that didn't really make sense to me and the introduction of what I presume are other men for future books. Although this is the 2nd book in the series, it is a stand alone. I didn't read the first book, but I don't think I missed anything.
Joel Leslie really made this story enjoyable for me. Man, can he perform the hell out of a sex scene; so hawt, whew! Anyway, he does a wonderful job with these men. Overall, a good listen.

I Love Me Some Sexy Angst
Would you consider the audio edition of Fame and Fortune to be better than the print version?
I didn't read the print version before listening to the audio. I like Joel Leslie as narrator so I jumped on board.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Hmm. Hard decision, because I definitely liked Victor, Andrew and Matthew, in different ways. Matthew was a puppy I wanted to cuddle and take care of. Andrew was a nurturer, sweet man. Victor a big, burly protector. Really liked all of them. If I absolutely have to choose, I'm going for Matthew. I really liked how he kept moving forward, growing.
Which scene was your favorite?
My favorite scenes were the two older men taking care of Matthew, giving him back the life he'd been torn out of. I loved Matthew when he was happy.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Oh yes, definitely. And I did. I loved it.
Any additional comments?
You really can't lose with Joel Leslie as narrator and a writer like T.M. Smith, who nurtures and develops the characters so beautifully. You'll like it.

Loyalty, love and lust
Victor, Andrew and Mathew...what can I even say? These three compliment each other so well and you can honestly feel the intensity between them. Loyalty, love and lust, the perfect recipe for this "throuple."

Heartbreakingly good!
I'm not new to reading M/M but pretty new to listening to it. So its taken me a while to accept that. Totally different experience.
So, I've never read from this author before, and that meant I was digging into this series without knowing anything. I prefer to do it that way, and I don't usually read synopsis or reviews either.
What started out as a tale of a young man, scrounging for food and a place to sleep, turned out to be a very touching and emotional story about the reasons why. There was so much hurt, and pain and then acceptance, healing. I found the book resonated with real raw emotion that could well have been an experience of many. That made me very sad. I've a lot of gay friends, and bullies suck.
I think my only comment on the writing was the fact that towards the end a lot of the story starts to get almost kind of glossed over. This is the part where it's a writers job to stop and either leave that to the next book, or just our imaginations. There's only so much being told things after all you can take. For Ex the first trip they take 3 weeks away, wow that would be awesome for some drama and soul searching. Oh well, it is my only gripe, maybe the author is saving it for another time :)
The narration was just great, Joel does a fab job of bringing all the guys to life. From the emotional upset of Matty to the calm and collected Andrew. Don't get me started on Vic, he's just delicious! looking forward to more, and now I've someone else to follow around the net and wait for more audio books to listen to. Thank you both.
