Summary

Jon Erskine had made a good life for himself as one of the top forensic accounts and systems analysts in the country. He doesn't mind working with paranormal clients - after all, he's a shifter himself. However, he could do without all the slurs and derogatory comments. Not all shifters are wolves, bears, or other predators. Still, his expertise and reputation is solid, and Jon is more than capable of holding his own. That is, until Dirk Hollingsworth runs from his office.

Dirk is running out of time. He has to find out who's been stealing from his company before his father turns up for his wedding in three weeks time. Acting on the recommendation of a friend, Dirk turns to Jon, or at least thinks about it. That is, until he catches the man's scent in the doorway of his office and does a runner. Not the proudest moment for one of the proudest of all shifters, but Dirk has a responsibility to his clan and catching the tantalizing scent of a dog isn't going to change anything. Or so he thinks.

A great book - 5*s.

I loved Sean's narration of the book and hopefully, Lisa Oliver will introduce more of her wonderful books to Audible and that Sean will be the one to narrate them.

Fun story-fabulous reader!

I always enjoy Lisa Oliver and I own all of her novels. I really hope more of her books are produced for audio as well as i enjoy rereading her books and own the few she has for audible. I must say that this narrator is wonderful! Great dragon voice, subtle yet effective characterizations, and yet never over the top. More please.

Great start to a new series

Okay I loved it & can't wait for the next book in the series. I loved that the dragons have their own voice & if they feel that their human side is being an a&& then they can do something about it. Jon & Dirk were great together as mates. Yes Dirk was an idiot in the beginning running off but his dragon straightened him out. Dirk's dad got what he deserved. Sean Crisden did a great job narrating this one.

Wonderful Dragon shifter romance

I was completely drawn into this story from the start. I've always loved dragon shifter stories, and I enjoyed immensely this pairing of a German Shepherd shifter and a Dragon shifter. Interesting story, yes there was the old trope of can't mate a man because I need an heir, but it was dealt with accordingly. I also loved that the Dragon an its human form had a separate relationship. Jon is a kind, smart, generous, understanding, and loving person and I ache with him when Dirk was being stubborn. Dirk took sometime to warm up to, his Dragon was a huge part of that process. The family drama was entertaining though I knew from early who the culprit was. Now for the narration, Sean Crisden you outdid yourself with this one. What a phenomenal performance, I especially enjoyed your Dragon voices. Thank you for such an amazing listen!

I LOVE this story, narrator’s dragon is amazing

This is such a feel-good story. The author has written so many sweet moments—her word pictures are really fun. I always tear up at the end.

And that narrator does the dragon so wonderfully!

Awesome Story & Narrator Gets It Right

I loved this book and when I found it was on audible could of wait to get it. I was pleasantly surprised y the narrator. Finally an audio book that gets the characters right. Each character had its distinct voice and not someone speaking higher for women and lower for men (that annoys me). I almost pulled over when I heard him speak as a dragon, as it was I kept shouting, FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT. I think of the books as a play and as such it needs the right character voices.

I really hope this narrator does the rest of the books in this series. I LOVED IT

Well Done!!

This was an excellent story and I can't say enough about my favorite Narrator Sean Crisden. His voices always really get you into every different character. And the Dragon's voice... pure perfection best describes it. I hope Lisa Oliver works on a series of Dragon's Heat stories on the other characters: Raul, Bryce, Carter, Brothers Byron and Samuel, and of course Tiernan. The saga of the Hollingsworth Clan could continue in so many enjoyable directions. Fingers crossed for the Dragon's Heat series to be developed

Fun Listen - Great Narration

Sean Crisden's narration, especially his dragon voices, made this book even better. The story was perfect for a shorter listen with a satisfying HEA. I really wish the rest of the series had audiobooks.

pleasantly surprised

Didn't beat me over the head with a point and had a story line. I was pleasantly surprised. I have been having a difficult time finding books on audible escape. This one was a nice change with a good story and no one whined too much.
