Summary

When you can talk to ghosts, things are bound to get spirited.

The ghosts have been there since before I can remember. When I was a kid, they doted on me, but as I got older, they got more demanding. I’ve spent my whole life seeing and talking to dead people and trying to pretend I’m not, because the living just don’t understand. Nobody wants to be around the freak who claims to see ghosts. Until I go to Mannix Estate.

Once a private country home, then a posh hotel, it was closed after a suspicious incident but is now an immersive historic experience. It’s also haunted AF, and everyone knows it. Finally, I’ve found a place to work and live where I can be useful. Where I’m actually wanted.

There are only two problems: I spent a hot, sweaty, satisfying night with Ewan the blacksmith before I knew we’d have to work together. Everyone knows sex with colleagues is a bad idea, right? Even if he’s the world’s most ripped cinnamon roll.

Plus, the ghosts are keeping secrets. There’s something going on that’s not normal, even for a haunted estate. And, I suspect that when the truth comes out, I’m the one who’ll have to deal with it…and it won’t be good.

Epic!!

This story was awesome! I listened to it in one sitting and laughed out loud at some bits (which got me some odd looks whilst I was out for my run!!)
Brilliant concept, I was hooked from the start and absolutely cannot wait for the next book!
Nick J Russo was fabulous in this, brilliant execution and I still start laughing now when I hear him shouting 'Hire him!' in my head 😂
so so good - what a team!! definitely recommended 😊 xx

Love it!

Great and captivating story with fascinating and loveable characters. I love Louisa Masters PNR books! Nick J Russo is one of my favorite narrators and he did a wonderful performance as usual. Now on to Vortex Conundrum.

Bored to dnf

I hoped that this book would be great because the blurb was interesting and Nick J Russo is a super narrator. This story started out okay however, halfway through things just became too ridiculous for my liking. I felt like the writer had no clear plot, just a great premise, and then she made it up as she went. I got bored with the word salad in the middle of this book and decided to dnf.

Fantastic

Another great start to a series by Louisa Masters. Enjoyed her other stories just as much as this one. Interesting characters and story line that kept me hooked. Nick J Russo was amazing as always transporting you into the story.

Spirited Situation

⏤ 5 Maple Leaf Audio Review ⏤

Spirited Situation (Ghostly Guardians 1) by Louisa Masters is a paranormal, mm, one-night stand, workplace romance told in the dual first-person point-of-view.

When you can talk to ghosts, it makes your life a little complicated. A job at a haunted mansion, a one-night stand turned co-worker who likes your quirks may just be the new life Josh has been looking for.

Josh and Ewan are so adorable. I loved their connection and the chemistry they have. The banter between all of the characters, living and dead, had me laughing out loud. I am interested to see where this series goes.

Nick J. Russo did a great job narrating Josh and Ewan’s story making it so much more than it was when I read the book and he made a single narration feel like a duet narration.

The characters were fun with an engaging plot line and an audio performance that really brought the characters to life. I look forward to seeing where the next book in the series leads!

This was a fun story. We had our MCs who were great and a super awesome supporting cast of humans and ghosts. Waiting on book 2 now.

Wow. I read it first, the audiobook was better!

I was already in love with this story. The characters are wonderful and the plot is unique and engaging. I tried the audiobook before the sequel came out and I’m beyond thrilled I did!

The narrator is excellent and he brought the characters to life. I’m going to listen to the audiobook for the sequel now instead of reading the actual book. I can’t wait!

Highly recommend. If you want hilarious ghosts, dynamic main characters, sweet romance with a HEA and a demon that needs to be vanquished — this is the story for you!

Better than I expected

Narrator- Great performance. The only thing I didn't like was, the narration was sometimes fast. I don't want to say rushed, but just fast spoken and it was difficult to catch everything sometimes. Other than that, I enjoyed his narration quite a bit.
Story- I rarely actually laugh out loud, but I did several times. I enjoyed all of the characters and their personalities. I will definitely listen to again.

Very enjoyable

Great start to a series, the MC is a sweet endearing guy who never fit in. He finds an opportunity at an INN as a live in. Josh finally feels at home. Oh yeah, so josh happen to ‘run into’ the Blacksmith that works/ lives at the INN the night before his interview, there are ghosts with boundary issues and a little vortex in a closet. The secondary characters were great also. Looking forward to the next one
