When his uncle is accused of an impossible crime by the wary and weary and ever leery Inspector Wittersham, Anty’s mum sends him to the wilds of Epping Forest to sort out who could have managed to murder the universally disliked taskmaster of a health resort dedicated to the repression and suppression of the best of the seven sins.

One of Anty's best, a health resort designed by a primal screaming madman, and a menagerie of wonderful characters, including a depressed detective Bassett hound. Pure, relentless bliss.

Really enjoyed listening to Tim Bruce narrating. Anty and Vickers with a load of reprobates along with Inspector Wittersham. Daft story but thoroughly enjoyable. This series is fun and easy listening.

Light hearted, hilarious and very clever. Just what I wanted for Christmas. Probably the most entertaining story yet and brilliantly narrated as always. I read the last book in the series but it just wasn’t the same.
