Pretty good, worth a listen

Loved the book, not as good as his System Apocalypse series, which you should go and read now. But I recommend this 100% the gift idea is cool and can't wait to hear more about others gifts. Some places it dose jump but it's not to much of a problem.

overall a good book and seems to get better with each one

lacking but not horrible

you can tell this is some of Tao Wong's first works. It is lacking of unqiue substance and some story development and suspence.

I would say though I like the world and has a lot of potential

No plot!

Everybody knows the standard fiction story structure: character and setting development--> major problem -->rising action--> solution--> resolution. In the first three books there wasn't. single major problem. It felt like character development for 15 hours! Do yourself a favor and read System Apocalypse by Two Wong. That is a quality book series and it actually has a plot!

As fun as it gets

The three books in this series follows the travails of Daniel, ex-miner starting a new life as a beginning adventurer. He begins moving to a small town which has appropriately a beginner dungeon. He also has a unique healing gift, which allows him to appropriately enough heal but at the cost of his memories and experiences. This allows him to stand out from the rest, but also not over powering them so much that anything is easy. And nothing really seems to be easy.

Along the way he will make friends and comrades, and experience more than his share of danger and fun. This is totally worthwhile. If you enjoy gamelit, or l you just used to love D&D, this book is absolutely the first thing you should read

A great trilogy to pick up

The trilogy is a great addition to anyone's library. Narration had been a little bland, but was still amazing.

Terrible

Terrible plot development extremely jumpy. The author jumps over many things and skips important plot details. The ending is also incredibly rushed

A mediocre story about a mediocre boy

I wanted to like this but nothing cool ever happened. The main character has a healing ability that has such a big drawback that he can't use it. The secondary healing spells he gets he doesn't develop because he wants to be a fighter so he spends points in that. Even though this is a leveling world, you don't feel that his levels mean anything. After the third book his team doesn't win and remains mediocre. The books are super short as it is and the fighting is boring and in the non-combat parts nothing happens. Skip this series.
