Summary

A thrilling standalone sequel to Atlantis, David Gibbins' international bestseller of high-action adventure, marine archaeology and the exploration of one of history's most fascinating and enduring mysteries. A lost Nazi bunker in a forest in Germany contains a dreadful secret. But is there a horrifying new dimension - another ingredient in the Nazi's rule of terror? Marine archaeologist Jack Howard returns to the lost island of Atlantis in the Black Sea to answer questions about the Atlantis priests that have plagued him. Then by tracking down the 1930s expeditions of Himmler's Ahnenerbe - the Nazi's Department of Cultural Heritage - and its link with Atlantis, Jack realises he is not just on the trail of the greatest lost relics from the past. Could there possibly be a terrifying new version of 'Atlantis', a priesthood of evil? Jack must uncover the truth before it is too late.

Good story

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

If with a passing interest in ancient history then yes. I like the idea of changes in human nature being driven by cultural changes, sometimes abrupt changes.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

The plot could have been a bit slower, just a tadd to much happening in to shorter period of time.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, but two sittings was about right.

An exciting, gripping action adventure.

An exciting action packed adventure novel written by David Gibbins and expertly Brought to life in this Audio version by Jonathan Keeble. The very believable characters and well researched story matrix result in a truly gripping experience. I found myself absorbed in the world of intrigue established by Gibbins. Looking forward to the next Gibbins adventure installment!

Really Poor Reading Spoilt week story

Having just finished reading Atlantis i was really looking forward to continuing the adventure BUT i found the story quite week almost like a short story which has been drawn out. It would have been passable but for the AWFUL reading by Jonathan Keeble most of the voices sound the same and one of the characters who does have a different sounding accent is just plain silly.

Very disappointed will ready the books and see if it was just me or the books though.
