About this listen

The sexy, action-packed first dramatized audiobook adaptation in the #1 New York Times bestselling Court of Thorns and Roses series from Sarah J. Maas. Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music!

When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a terrifying creature arrives to demand retribution. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she knows about only from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not truly a beast, but one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled her world.

At least, he's not a beast all the time.

As she adapts to her new home, her feelings for the faerie, Tamlin, transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But something is not right in the faerie lands. An ancient, wicked shadow is growing, and Feyre must find a way to stop it, or doom Tamlin-and his world-forever.

From bestselling author Sarah J. Maas comes a seductive, breathtaking series that blends romance, adventure, and faerie lore into an unforgettable listen.

Performed by Melody Muze, Anthony Palmini, Henry W. Kramer, Ann Flandermeyer, Gabriel Michael, Debi Tinsley, Natalie Van Sistine, Karenna Foley, Scott McCormick, Bradley Foster Smith, Karen Novack, Christopher Graybill, Terence Aselford, Matthew Bassett, Michael John Casey, Nora Achrati, Yasmin Tuazon, Alejandro Ruiz, Steve Wannall, and Shanta Parasuraman.

I feel like this should be the norm for how audiobooks are made. The actors and sound effects were amazing and made this an incredible experience! This was a re-read for me and I feel like I enjoyed this so much more listening to the incredible actors!!!

Amazing!!!!

The only downside I found was the background noises were sometimes too loud for the voice actor

Great story and performance

The second half of the book is definitely superior to the first as we’ve now had all the world building and the drama hikes it up a notch.

But again for me the standout was the performance of the voice actors in the sound design. I think listening to this kind of content with multiple voices and all the additional background audio makes it so incredibly immersive that I loved every minute of it.

The Voice actors and the graphic audio is amazing

Part 1 set the scene for the final battle and Part 2 followed it through. Near twists to the storyline even if the outcome was a bit obvious (well there is a sequel) A good story and well performed.

part 2 as good as Part 1

If the performance of this first book didn’t convince you, don’t give up. Like the story, it gets better, so much better. Give the second book a chance and then tell me I’m wrong.

Don’t give up just yet

As a male bus driver approaching his forties, this book reawakened that sense of wonder and amazement that fantasy spawned in me as a child. It's actual FANTASY, fantastical, wondrous, thrilling and unabashedly dreaming. I've read so much fantasy where the author seems like they're more interested in describing a world that'll make for awesome Wikipedia articles or push their worldview more than weaving wonder and magic. This book however goes all in on the wonder. It describes paradise and makes the hellish be more intense, doesn't hold back on intense emotions in order to make the suffering more painful, and it's just utterly open with what it is, which I love.

This book gave me back something that's been lost for a long time, and I'm eagerly diving into the next book in the series.

This book made me rediscover my love for fantasy
