Summary

In the first chapter of this epic trilogy, the outcome of the historic War of the Ancients is forever altered by the arrival of three time-lost heroes: Krasus, the dragon mage whose great power and memories of the ancient conflict have inexplicably diminished; the human wizard Rhonin, whose thoughts are divided between his family and the seductive source of his now-growing power; and Broxigar, a weathered orc veteran who seeks a glorious death in combat.

But unless these unlikely allies can convince the demigod, Cenarius, and the untrusting night elves of their queen's treachery, the burning Legion's gateway into Azeroth will open anew. And this time - the struggles of the past may well spill over into the future....

Finally a audio version!

I was so excited to see that this was finally available on Audible. Great story that ties so many different Warcraft story lines and characters together. Can't wait for Part 2 and 3 to be released on Audible.

this is by far my favorite world of Warcraft book

the story was perfect it didn't bounce all over the place like some of the other books. the narrator did an amazing job very easy to listen to. of all the audio books in the world I've went through so far this is my favorite.

Be aware!

The three first books are excellent. Well written and performed, a treat indeed. But you should be aware that once the fourth book comes around, they change author and reader, and it's not really great at all. I think it was a big mistake not keeping the same author and reader, as the listener now have gotten used to certain voices on characters, which helps a lot when listening. Suddenly you have a female reader at book four, and she is not as passionate about it. Not that im saying that a female reader is bad, but once you've gotten used to 30 hours + of ones voice who put at least some feeling into it, it's hard to re-adapt.

Excellent work by Ramon De Ocampo yet again

The only problem now, is that we have to wait for part two to be released! Hopefully Ramon narrates that as well.

good book

the lore was good in this book. I found myself engaged. I recommend getting this one, it is probably the best book from Knaak.

Love this series

Amazing book, glad they went with a pro narrator, unlike Christie Golden’s books. Can’t wait for the next two in the series!

Most fantastic!

I loved this book I used it as my first credit and it was amazing to listen to while at work. the characters interacting with the burning legion were pretty good some parts I didn't see coming but that could be of my own mind not being up to snuff with the way olots go.

good even if you know a little bit of the story

The beginning was a little slow but the story was very good. I know a little bit about the story from playing the game but there were a lot of details that I didn't know, and it was fun seeing some characters that I know well when they were young.

A must for WoW players

This book breathes life into the World of Warcraft spheres that have been developed over the past several decades. I’m not sure if it would be confusing for those not familiar with the background of the world, but those who have played any of the related games will love it. Masterfully written and performed with voices that do not throw you out of the telling of the story.
