Murder in Monarch Park Summary

1894. The body of Ernest Dowland, the richest man in Braxton, Pennsylvania, has been found in Monarch Park with his skull caved in. Across the street in his opulent mansion, his teenage daughter, Abigail, has been abducted from her bedroom. Was this an abduction gone wrong? New police officer Milo Moffat and his boss, detective Percy Watts, are tasked to investigate short handed.

When no ransom is received, they must rethink motive, which starts them down a dark path as they discover more clues. But troubles closer to home for both men threaten to derail the investigation before the girl is found. The story builds to a terrifying climax as they slowly uncover the real reason for the abduction. Can they find the Dowland girl before its too late?
