  • Forty two, take two...
    May 9 2026

Hi folks, and welcome to an updated episode of the last episode of Spellboundish (confused? - I reworked forty two as I didn't like it), entitled, Forty two, take two...

(I edited down the internal intro music, as they were way too long in hindsight, but as I've said in the episode, it was an experiment, left the original ep up, just in case you like long intro music).

Within the episode, which spans just over one hour and eight minutes.

you'll find all the regulars, mogs musings, the bakers dozen and, So long, and thanks for all the fish.

    Also returning is calming corner.

The self penned poems by yours truly here, also return.

Actually, I've created a section for poems, called Poetic Licence.

So, if you fancy sending in your prose, please do.

I've also messed about with ai, big style this time, well, go big or go home huh?

I've created individual section music, basically. As well as changed the intro music this time.

    Episode contents/time indents:

    Opening music/audio contents list,

    00:00 - 04:40.

    Mogs Musings, 04:40 - 14:12.

    Reasons to be cheerful,

    14:12 - 18:24.

    Poetic Licence,

    18:24 - 20:05.

    Calming Corner,

    20:05 - 28:37.

    Bakers Dozen,

    28:37- 46:16.

    Back to Beyond,

    46:16 - 55:50.

So long, and thanks for all the fish,

    55:50 - 1:04:28.

    Closing Music,

    1:04:28 - 1:08:10.

    Apr 24 2026

    *trigger warnings*

Mentions of suicide, feelings of abject despair, feelings of loss, mentions of depression.

Okay, so this is the one single episode I didn't want to write, but its a milestone episode, for a milestone in this podcast. Its 12 months since I properly began Spellboundish.

Its not your usual episode, it deals with the loss of my biological daughter, Emma Jane. Its been tough to put together, it contains none of the usual items, its just 'that' chapter of the audio book, and an hour of calming, tranquil sounds, in the hope afterwards, if you listen to the audio book chapter, you can decompress and move on.

The events in the audio book chapter happened some 32 years ago, so I'm out of the other side so to speak, but its quite a painful moment in my life if I'm honest, but I'm hoping by commiting my words to this deeply painful chapter of my life, I can begin to heal and let it go...

But please, I urge you, if your in despair with your life right now, please don't listen, give it a swerve.

    Much love, John x
