A Shocker!

When I bought this audiobook, I knew Larry was going to be "in your face", but I like direct people. The exercises in the book were shocking, and they shouldn't have been - what's most important to you? Does your spending follow that list? - I didn't know what I didn't know! If you listen to this book, do the exercises and make necessary changes with the honesty and integrity that Larry comes to this project with - things will get better for you financially. Larry may slap you into the real world, but he is also going to be there to help you deal with your reality check. Thanks Larry!

It is a nice kick on the butt. I recommend it.

This book is a reality check for all the lazy and irresponsible people out there. People have the habit of saying, "I need to MAKE more money," and complain. What they do need is "to EARN more money"! So use your brain and you can be a winner. Unfortunately in life there are "winners" and "loosers" and this book may not be the right choice for "lazy people" because it will hurt their feelings. But if you have a winning attitude who's fallen behind a little in managing your money, this is definetely the right book for you.

Not good at all!!

If you have read or listened to "Shut up stop whining" (which is GREAT!), then don't bother with this one. He says the same thing over and over and over. He also contradicts himself by saying in the beginning that other speakers tell you to say "I am rich" or whatever, to yourself everyday and it doesn't work, but 55 minutes into this audio book, he says that in school he did this everyday and that's what worked. ????

Real Talk For The Hungry

If you could sum up You're Broke Because You Want to Be in three words, what would they be?

This book is the conversation adults need to have with their kids. I wish someone could have said this stuff to me. Thanks so much for being transparent.

Didn't learn a damn thing!

I laughed all the way through this book....funny is an understatement. The author's story is a lot like mine.....born poor but because of an incident in jr high school decided that one day I wouldn't be poor. I have followed and continue to follow the common sense concepts in this audio book. What I have done is bought copies for several of my employees and told them to spend 30" a day on my dime listening. I have forwarded to many other business owners and told them..."the book has nothing new to learn but you will laugh a lot and recommend it a lot to people that need to hear the message. His politically incorrect delivery is hilarious! Thanks Larry, this is the third book of yours I've listened to....plan on doing them all!

I've decided not to be broke.

This is a get in your face all bullshit aside guide to getting rich. If you have the desire to start then you've started in the right place. Well worth the listen.

Nothing New - but delivery is key!

I knew nothing of Larry Winget before this book, but I really enjoyed the listen. No real "new" information for me, I've read a ton of money mindset books. But Larry's delivery is spot on and he has an ass-kicking mindset that really makes you think about your situation - and also to accept your situation. My favorite point from this book is that us broke people need to really feel remorse before we can make real change happen.
