You're sabotaging your own success - and Larry Winget can prove it!

You think you know what you want in life. You've tried to achieve those things. But if you still don't have them, the culprit may be closer than you think.

In this perspective-altering program, the world-renowned Pitbull of Personal Development(tm), Larry Winget, exposes the things you are doing right now to unknowingly prevent your own success in the most important areas of your life: business, family, health, parenting, money, and more - and offers you his self-proven action plan for change. You'll learn about:

  • The only five success rules you'll ever need.
  • How to eliminate stress once and for all.
  • The 10 ways you're sabotaging yourself right now.
  • Surprising ways to get more done at home and at work.
  • The bad-habit-breaking trick that will change your life instantly.
  • Simple steps to making fast improvements in your finances.

By following the straightforward, commonsense plan Larry presents in this program, you'll be able to remove the one and only obstacle standing between you and the things you really want in life: you. If you're ready to make some real, lasting changes using simple solutions that work, his no-holds-barred style and radically un-radical process are what you've been waiting for!

A waste of money

Wants to lose weight ? Eat less, exercise more! Want improve your life take action, not happy write a list of what you need to do to be happy, this book gives the most basic, simpleton advice possible without actually telling you anything. It gives no real advice or techniques on how to achieve the things you want just the basic advice of do it. This audio book was the worst 'motivational' 'self help' book I have ever read, don't waste your money

Shouty American

I struggled with this. Larry's approach is to talk loud, be controversial, and tell you how wonderful he is.
He does offer some very valid points and useful tips but I couldn't listen to this twice.

Life Changing!!

Wow! This audio book really hit home and with a massive realisation of understanding everything that effects our lives and the lives of everyone around us. It's also really a guidebook to understanding how your spouse or partner may feel with the topics discussed in depth and how they may feel over specifics relevant to themselves. It was very profound to me and has me wanting to change myself completely to be better for the journey through life and how it can only strengthen a marriage and relationship and ultimately ourselves. Thank you Larry.

Some good advice

If you can get on with Larry’s shouty kind of style there are some useful lessons and tools here. Squarely aimed at a US audience and a bit opinionated about a fair few things!

Nice book

Actual truth or you can say harsh reality, Larry has shared. Too much straight forward approach.
No stories to explain his ideas. But at the same time he need no stories to convey his ideas.

Was just OK

Normally I love me some Larry Winget but this one fell flat for me. The whole gist of the book is decide what's really important to you, write it down, take responsibility for proving it's really important to you and take action accordingly. It just took over 4 hours for him to say it.

The Fine Line between cracking the Whip and Grinding the axe

This program (can't really call it a book, as the author seems to deliver it extemporaneously) doesn't pull punches. Wiget's message is clear and unapologetic: accept responsibility for where you are and take action to move yourself forward.

He provides some practical advice on how to do that, primarily using written inventories, lists, and goal-setting. Nothing new necessarily, but presented in a compelling and motivating way. He's right on, except when he occasionally veers into axe-grinding mode, which is rare during the main part.

He does give you fair warning in the last segment that he's going on a rant (though not in those words of course). Most of what he fusses about there is accurate too, like the victim mentality in our country. But he's dead wrong elsewhere, like in his take on health care (he's got the economics exactly backwards).

Taken as a whole I recommend this. Just skip the rant at the end.

Mr Winget never disappoints, always feel motivated

I have either read or listened to all of Mr. Winget's books. I prefer listening because he is reading and I feel very motivated afterwards. His tough love truth style makes you think, "yeah he's right why am I doing that and not blaming myself?" Even if you don't feel you need self improvement stop kidding yourself and try one of these books you will feel very motivated after.

Yikes

Really bad. A continuous rant without any information. Was hopeful for some real information. This isn’t it.

Larry Speaks my language

Any additional comments?

I love Larry's matter of fact way of speaking! I love the narration! I didn't use to be the most confident person in the world and sometimes you just need to hear things, point blank, and have it spelled out for you. I love this book! I found myself nodding and saying yeah several times while listening to this book.

In your face!

Absolutely love his straight forward and raw attitude. Some people just complain and dont take responsibility for their place in life and tjeir choices. I am one of them! The mirror he holds up and the exercises he has you do to become more self aware are very productive! Thanks, Larry!

Take responsibility

Nothing new here, but delivered in a 'in ya face' style that perhaps will work for some. Basic premise is that you are the one thing that is in your way of success. Not bad but that beard has to go on the cover. What is that some puritan style that one would be amish to have. Love the shirt though. Sunglasses are a little clique.
