Number-One Wall Street Journal Best Seller • New York Times Best Seller • USA Today Best Seller

Are you ready to believe in you?

Game-changing. Authentic. A must-read for every woman! Jamie is the real deal - and that’s rare.” (Glennon Doyle, number-one New York Times best-selling author of Untamed)

“Raw. Real. Powerful. Filled with vulnerability and grit. This book will inspire you to believe in your own power. It’s a book every woman needs!” (Sara Blakely, founder, Spanx)

Imagine overcoming the things holding you back, breaking through the barrier of self-doubt and fully becoming the person you were born to be!

In Believe It, Jamie Kern Lima, founder of IT Cosmetics, shares the wild but true story of how a once struggling waitress turned her against-the-grain idea into an international best-selling sensation, eventually selling the company for more than a billion dollars and becoming the first female CEO of a brand in L’Oréal’s 100+ year history. Faced with self-doubt, body-doubt, God-doubt, down to her last few dollars and told “No one is going to buy makeup from someone who has your body”, Jamie reveals for the first time what really went down, how she almost didn’t make it, how she learned to trust herself, and the powerful lessons you, too, can use to go from underestimated to unstoppable.

With radical vulnerability and honesty, Jamie takes you on a journey through deeply personal stories of heartbreak and resilience - including accidentally finding out she was adopted when she was in her 20s and the reverberations this has had on all aspects of her life. Jamie also pulls back the curtain on her fight to change the beauty industry’s use of unrealistic images, on behalf of all the little girls who are about to start doubting themselves, and all of the grown women who still do.

Spellbinding, riveting, with raw vulnerability and down-to-earth warmth, Believe It shakes your soul and shows you that you, too, have what it takes to believe in yourself, trust yourself, and go from doubting you’re enough to knowing you’re enough! Do you have big goals, hopes, and dreams but let rejection get in the way? Do you struggle with feeling like you’re not enough and like success is something that happens to other people, but have a hard time believing it’s possible for you? Do you let past mistakes and failures hold you back? Do you know deep down inside that you were created for more, but somehow still doubt yourself?

In Believe It you’ll discover how to...

  • Overcome self-doubt
  • Gain the courage to take risks and empower yourself and others
  • Tune into and trust your own intuition
  • Let go of your mistakes and insecurities
  • Turn down the volume on your inner critic
  • Handle the rejection, the haters, and the mean girls
  • Boost your confidence
  • Start your dream (and keep going!)
  • And much more

If you’ve ever doubted yourself or felt truly underestimated, this book will inspire a new kind of belief and confidence in you and your dreams!

Phenomenal Book!!

I have laughed, cried and been inspired!! This book is for anyone looking to take a leap of faith in life, and a sound reminder that God is always in control (without being preachy).

I never write reviews, but I just loved this book so much!

Slightly disappointing overall

This book sort of loses its way about half way through. The parts where she tells her story are interesting. But the second half has a preachy feel to it. It's not even that I particularly disagreed. It's more that she starts coming across like a woke evangelist on a mission to save us all. It is honestly kinda annoying after a while. She sounds like a nice woman. But a bit like your annoying friend who bends your ear so much about their pet topic that you filter it out. I couldn't listen to the last hour and a half. Too preachy. She would do well in future to show, don't tell. More stories. Less preaching please Jamie.

So grateful to have crossed path with this book in my lifetime

This is the first review i’ve ever left for anything. Arguably the most inspirational books I’ve ever read. Jamie’s story, from dream to reality, is so encouraging, uplifting, and yet somehow so relatable. Reading about her journey feels like talking to a good friend. I can not recommend this book enough. I loved how authentic this audiobook was narrated by the Jamie herself!!

Out-stand-ing

I was gripped by this beautiful lady when I first discovered her at a recent Tony Robbins event... her story was so inspiring, and her connect-ability off the scale!!!
I was sitting on the edge of my seat, listening to every single word, that I just HAD to buy the book, but oh my goodness, she's just become my first choice dinner table guest, along side Oprah and Michelle Obama (appreciate slim chance of this happening 😂) because her story is truly incredible and every breath she speaks inspiring. You literally can imagine what's coming next, and believe me her events and challenges just kept coming, and she truly deserves her awards, her recognition and her success. A gorgeous woman uplifting and inspiring women... INCREDIBLE Lady, phenomenal read! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVED IT! ❤️

Weird

This book was weird. Jamie has clearly been blessed and has accomplished a lot. However, I found her sing-song delivery super sappy and strange overall. Throughout the book she espouses championing women but then it gets very religious toward the end and she goes on and on about God as "Him" and "He," which comes across as the highest power in the universe being male energy and it really just seemed incongruous and bazaar. She talks about Victoria Osteen and all I could think of was how she and Joel didn't open their church facilities (i.e. vast resources) to Hurricane Harvey victims or recent Texas winter storm victims and = yuck. Do yourself a favor and pass on this one. Personally, I didn't find it worth the time.

Inspirational, Emotional, and Relatable

I loved Beleive it so much! Such a great inspiring read. Jamie is someone I can relate to and the struggle she faced over and over gives me hope for the future. You can tell that Jamie really cares about people and not just about the money! When I found out all proceeds for the book were going to Charity it made this purchase even easier to make!

This is NOT a self-development book

This book is not a self-help or self development book. It is a biography, with lots of celebrity name dropping. Her story is inspirational, but not even remotely instructional. If you’re looking for a story about success through sheer determination, then this book may be for you. If you’re looking for specific techniques on how to improve your own life, then pick something else. She does offer some tidbits of encouragement and advice, literally in the final 20 minutes of the book. But overall, this book is all about the author holding up her own story as an example to others, but not giving you the tools you need to make it work in your own life.

Loved this audible. Listened in 2 days 😆

I listened to this entire book in 2 days — it’s that good. As a business owner who has just starting the physical product journey (but been in business on the service and e-product side for many years), there were many gems. 10/10 recommend.

WOW ... this book is changing my life!

I had purchased 3 Believe It books - 1 for me / 2 as gifts, but I was so excited to dive in that I ended up purchasing it here on Audible. All I can say is WOW ... this book has already changed my life in such wonderful ways and I'm learning, growing and implementing great new ideas into my businesses. I'm so inspired by the book that I'm starting a book club so that I can connect with like-minded people who want to implement positive change into their lives. Thank you, Jamie Kern Lima for writing this book and hosting the Becoming Unstoppable event for your book launch.
