Listen to the details ... perfection in words
Lee Child is a master story teller and Reacher is the means by which we see this.
The story comes across slowly, it's never forced into action though you are aware that simplicity has retreated and the strands of something very complicated are emerging. Lee Child's skill for observation is the glue that binds thought and action together. It's the small details that bring colour and understanding of his characters into a unity. This book is excellent.
All this together with the voice of Jeff Harding makes for compelling listening.

A Simply Brilliant Reacher Novel
I love Jeff Harding's narration; I love the flawed, yet individually perfect character of Reacher; and I love the diversity of these situations that Lee Child weaves into a highly credible story.
Previous reviewers have been critical about Reacher's involvement with his brother's ex, but I consider it a very real world, typical, likely turn of events. The Reacher character is not holy, moral or chaste. He's never been portrayed in that way; he could never have survived these various situations if he were!
He has his own code of justice and morality. We enjoy viewing it through his eyes, living through his thought processes. What do I like best about him? "Reacher said nothing." He's quite a wise man…
Enjoy this, you'll learn a lot about him and his brother Joe.

Not Reacher at his best
I’m a Jack Reacher fan but compared to other Lee Child novels this one lacks pace. It feels like it’s s short story that’s been padded out.

Wonderfully implausible nonsense
What did you like most about Without Fail?
Our hero's absolute commitment to the cause and this story's showcasing of his knowledge and background
Would you recommend Without Fail to your friends? Why or why not?
Yes, because if you're reading the Reacher series, why would you miss one out, even though this isn't the best I've listened to so far
What does Jeff Harding bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
Harding has a very good voice for narration and tempo
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Not particularly

Brilliant and compulsive
Recent convert to Jack Reacher novels ...ignore the film with Tom Cruise.
Think Raymond Chandler on steroids. Well thought out story with twist and turns as new evidence comes to light. ...not managed to guess the outcome yet of any of the stories.
Like the intricacies and characterisations, very well voiced by Jeff Harding, now my preferred reader.
I now know a lot about weaponry and ways of killing people!

Great Story Concept
You never think that personal protection could be so complex and challenging. Lee Childs, through Jack Reacher, looks at protecting the vice president(Probably why they call it fiction). Once you get past the nearly, laughable concept that a guy off the street can be used as a security consultant, the plot unfolds into a solid story where Jack Reacher lives in the echo of his brother, looking at revenge and love.
Solid and enjoyable story and the audible presentation is brilliant.
