Summary

My name is Lennox Brooks, and I'll admit I've made a lot of mistakes. I don't take the big risks, I cover my insecurities with snark, I've shown my crazy a few more times than I would've liked, and I've been trying and failing at love pretty much since I first grew tits. Weirdos, mama's boys, the over-coiffed, and underwhelming, I've been out with them all, just read my blog. I've got horror stories that would curl your toes and singe your nose hairs, but none of them compare to the toad who started it all: Ellis Walker.

He was the boy next door, the charming, infuriatingly gorgeous one who broke my heart and disappeared without a trace. Now, he's back and determined to throw my life into chaos, dredging up painful memories just when things were getting good.

But the thing is there are always two sides to every story. I've spent the better part of my life hating him for everything he put me through, but without that resentment clouding my judgment, how will I ever resist him?

Love is complicated, appearances are deceiving, and sometimes, you have to kiss a whole lot of frogs before finding your prince.

Enticing Heartwarming Listen!

I absolutely loved this story! It was a pleasure to listen as Ellis and Lennox's love story plays out. The author does an excellent job keeping the listener engaged the entire time in this well written novel. The characters were super easy to like and were incredibly relatable. This heartwarming listen has some really cute and chuckle worthy moments; however, is also a story of healing, forgiveness and moving forward. Plus, I can't help myself, I love a good happily ever after with some steamy scenes!

The narrator did an excellent job in this performance. Her voice seemed to really bring out the emotions between the characters and made me feel what the characters where feeling. I genuinely look forward to more from this up and coming narrator!

DO NOT JUDGE THIS BOOK BY ITS COVER!

This has been one of the greatest listens for me this year. Do not judge it by the cover! That is just in regards to the heroine's blog. It is so hilarious I was laughing out loud most of the time. Ellis is definitely the type of "frog" I'd kiss in search of Prince Charming!

If you want to smile, this is the book for you!

In search of a book to make you smile and swoon? Look no further, Samantha Harris has the book for you. With a title like Whole lotta Frogs, I was a little hesitant about what to expect. But once into the story, it totally makes sense! Lennox writes a blog about dating, and what better to refer to the men on her search for Prince Charming than call them frogs? Little does Lennox know who her Prince will turn out to be! Ellis, the boy next door comes home, and the feelings of betrayal and teenage torture returns to Lennox. Now the fun begins. With witty banter, incredible blog posts, work related issues and decisions of the heart, we get to enjoy the journey to love Lennox takes. With friends like hers to keep things real, and dates that will just make you laugh, the book is full of enjoyment.

The wonderful comedic timing of Heather Firth truly brings this story to life. I can't get enough of her narrations, with her ability to give me both laughter and heartfelt portrayals in her performances. Her voices are spot on and I can see the story unfold as she tells it.

Soooo Relatable!

Whole Lotta Frogs by Samatha Harris is sooo funny and embarrassingly relateable for me. The expression "you have to kiss a lotta frogs before you find your prince" brings this story to life. While I may not be able to relate to every scenario in this novel, I can relate to a large number of them....and have some of my own. You know what they say....you have to learn how to laugh at yourself sometimes.
Then when you least expect it you meet a guy and think - is karma throwing me a bone....or reeling me in for a bigger disappointment - sometime over analyzing is our worst method of coping. Truly a funny book as you live vicariously through the main character Lennox and her pitfalls in her dating life, eccentric mother, and her horrible boss.
Heather Firth did an amazing job in bringing all the characters to life giving them a fantastic personality, charm and great timing when delivering the sense of humour this book demanded.

Fun slow burn romance

I grabbed this book because I loved the cover and title but the story and narration didn't disappoint either. The set up of blog posts through out the story were both fun and insightful and the various "frogs" she encounters were as well. I liked the slow burn between Lennox and Ellis, and I thought Ellis was a lot of fun. The supporting characters all added a lot of great content to the story. I thing that maybe her scared, hesitation was played out just a little too long and could have been cut a chapter or two shorted and that would have given us a little more time to not feel like the resolution scene was so rushed. Other than that I really enjoyed the story and thought it was a great read.
The narration was was great and matched both characters perfectly!

A Delightfully Fun RomCom with great narration!🎧

Awesome! It is a slow burn, second chance romantic comedy at its best! This book is a delight, the story is captivating with lots of fun moments as well as drama, romance and heartfelt moments. The characters are wonderful, both primary and secondary, the lead, Lennox Brooks is the star of this book with Ellis Walker coming a close second. There is great chemistry between those two & a whole lotta angst. I love Lennox’s blog it is relatable and her dating adventures or rather misadventures are hysterical. This is my first Samantha Harris book and it will not be my last. I enjoyed her writing, humor and storylines. Thank you for a great read!!

I listened to the audio edition, Heather Firth is a fabulous narrator & storyteller. She performs the voices of all the different characters, switching vocals back and forth effortlessly with out missing a beat. She sets the perfect tone & pace for the story bringing the characters and their story to life from the pages to your ears. Thank you for another great listen!!

Cute and angsty story

My first Samantha Harris book.
The boy she crushed on in high school, who broke her heart and left without even a goodbye has returned and Lennox isn't very happy about it.
Ellis - the boy next door left who without saying anything and has returned home and has his sights set on Lennox.

Great banter, sexy fun angst and a little love triangle that will keep you listening without a break! I had this book playing for hours on end to see how this would all work out!

A great slow burn story that left with a huge smile on my face.

I loved the narration and Heather Firth WAS Lennox for me!

so cute and funny!

I'm a huge fan of 2nd chance romance and this one really was wonderful to listen to. Heather Firth is a fantastic narrator! I recommend this story if you want a laugh out loud slow burn romance. I loved Lennox, she is so relatable! Totally stubborn and on a journey where her emotions are out of control. Ellis is lovable and his persistence is admirable. Secondary characters add to the fun- recommended beach read!
