Summary

The thrilling sequel to Dance of Thieves, featuring danger, deception, and romance.

Kazi and Jase have survived, stronger and more in love than ever. Their new life now lies before them - the Ballengers will be outlaws no longer, Tor's Watch will be a kingdom, and the two of them will meet all challenges side by side, together at last.

But an ominous warning mars their journey back, and in their rush to return to Tor's Watch, just outside the fortress walls, they are violently attacked and torn apart - and each is thrust into their own new hell.

Unsure whether the other is alive or dead, Kazi and Jase must keep their wits among their greatest enemies and unlikeliest allies. And all the while, Death watches and waits.

Includes a Bonus PDF of a Kingdoms of the Remnant map.

Too long

I always love her writing--go Mary. But this sequel disappointed me in several ways. The story needed editing and tightening. There were too many irrelevant sub plots, and way too many characters I didn't care about. Karissa's narration was often whiny and forlorn. By the end I was ready for the axe about 75-100 listening pages in.

Satisfied

I think I liked the first book better, because it held so much intrigue. But this one was a satisfying way to end the series. I’m definitely glad I read it!

Nice

This series was good, nit crazy long and stayed on point with the story line from the first book. It's a bit predictable but that's okay, it's still a good listen. I will say, I wish the villan had more screen time.

Same issues as book 1.

2/2 The first book did the same thing. Entire story is enjoyable until One of the last chapters (61) makes the whole story lose interest.

loved it

I wanted to listen to it all day long. When it ended I was again sad...no more story to hear, the characters have become so alive. it's so worth listening to the entire Remnant series.

Amazing book; fantastic conclusion to duology

This book was amazing! The first book if the series was very slow burn, and only really piqued my attention in the last 10 chapters or so. But Vow had me from the get-go. Jase and Kazi are finally together and stronger than ever... only to be ripped apart. I needed to know what was at stake and how they would overcome the obstacles constantly thrown into their way. I think my only criticism is that some things that came to light were, again, predictable in my opinion. But it didn't stop me from wanting to read and loving the MCs. I read and listened to this via Audible, and the narrators really drove home the emotions on the page. I really enjoy this author and the universe she has created.
