Great Christmas story and brilliantly narrated

Wonderful tale for Christmas. Beautifully written with really evocative characters. You can almost see them. June Barrie is the perfect narrator. Two village spinisters run up against a rather slapdash young mother. Rather heartwarming story.

Reminiscing childhood joy

A lovely story read in a gentle voice reminiscent of quieter times when there was time to wonder at the small joys in life and nature.
