Summary

You Want to Manage Your Time Effectively but You Don't Know How?

If you ask most people why they cannot get things done on time, you will notice that most of them will take a defensive stance. Rather than thinking of the things that they can change personally to improve their productivity, they focus on how other people and their environment affect their use of time.

In this book, I dedicated my effort to showing you the real meanings and reasons of managing your time effectively. It is not just to help you be more productive in your work but more importantly to have more time to spend with your beloved ones. At the end of the day, it is not about what you have accomplished that makes you feel fulfilled, it is who you become and those you help, care about, and inspire that matters the most. That is the ultimate purpose of this book, and I really believe that you will enjoy it.

This book breaks training down into easy-to-understand modules. It starts from the very beginning of having great time management skills, so you can get great results - and achieve massive success!

Time Management from one of the best!!

This book was very informative. I will definitely take the program to heart and have already made some changes that have impacted my personal and work life for the bettel. This book is full of information on how to get more done and be more efficient. Time management system described in a short and easy to listen(harder to implement) book. So many of the things that the book points out seem so obvious yet are so often overlooked. This was an insightful listen that gave me a lot of food for bought on how I spend my days and how I can be more proactive in how I plan. This book is for anyone looking for help managing their time

very easy to listen as it is written.

Very practical advice, but the examples helped me to see what it looks like to carry it out and the results I'd like to achieve. More than step by step - this book has worksheets you can use if you need things written down, checklists you might not consider as important, etc. I enjoyed listen this book. It gave good advice and I could relate to many of the examples of people who procastinated. I found the suggests for improved time management very practical I've worked in the manufacturing world for three years and during this time found myself spiraling out of control due to bad Time manquent. The constant meetings and quality issues made it impossible to feel in track

Very practical and fun to listen.

This is not a difficult read, it's practical and can be read quickly. His breakdown of how to manage a day and utilize resources like a Daytimer really sold me on finding tools other than my smart phone to assist me in managing my life. This book is for anyone looking for help managing their time. Practical wisdom and real-life examples are provided to help the listen understand how they can become more efficient and effective in their personal and professional life. This book is well written and inspires me to manage my time better. He does talk about one particular planner system that I don't use, but I use a similar one so I can still apply his suggestions.

Life Changing for a Sysadmin!!!!!!!

A holistic technical manual for the new and seasoned systems/network admin who wants to do more than constantly put out fires; work long hours; and feel misunderstood by management. Lots of great recommendations. I especially liked the idea of rotating support dutues with other sysadmins to separate time between dedicated user support & maintenance and project work. Tom's book is spectacular -- and brief, too! He walks you through several critical strategies for sysadmin time management, including using a ticketing system to track requests. The writing style made it easy and fun to read, and I am recommending it to anyone who happens to come near my cube.

This will change how you think about your time.

I am in the middle of the book, listen while on the bus to and from work. I must say, it gives those who don't know much about time management, a different way of doing things. I like the fact that it questions entrepreneurs, stay at home parents, and others, if they apply each secret ,what would they accomplish?!!! You've read it before, you've heard it said a number of ways and this book is no different, but it is worth the price and the time it takes to listen it. With each new iteration of these principles, it imprints a little more and a little more.

Get that extra hour or two every day.

The title of this book claims that you can give yourself 48 hours in a single day. I was skeptical at first and wanted to simply increase my productivity. After having implemented some of the strategies in the book, I must say that if anything like that is possible, then this is as close as we can get and Time management is not my strong suit and i tend to waste a lot of time on unnecessary things. This book is so helpful and these little changes can really help me become more productive and manage my time better. I like that there are time management tips for a lot of different situations and really enjoyed reading through the tips from experts. good book for time management.

Best book for time management.

This was one of the handful of best things I have read this past decade. I can't say enough good things about it. I'm fascinated by organizational behavior and organizational design, and as an academic administrator, I am always looking for way to reduce what the authors call organizational drag. Their explanations of the ways we waste time and how dramatically it affects organizations' ability to function better is masterful. I was recently contemplating writing a business book about how to harness your employees' attitude, passion, and energy to create a radical shift in the company.

Ok but nothing new here

It’s basically the same advice you’ve heard over & over, get sleep, exercise, eat healthy, stay of FB, set time for work & time for play.

Maybe good for younger Folks (20’s) But these are things we (almost) all already know.

A Good Quick Reference.

This is a good primer to the Promodoro Technique. It contains practical advice. A lot of similar tones to the Four Hour Workweek which is also another favorite of mine. Good book and got started with the technique today based on the advice in the book.

Inspiring!

Reading this book helped me realize a lot of inefficiencies that plague me throughout my workday and have allowed me to make positive changes that have made my work much less stressful. Even if you don't adopt all of the practices in the book like keeping a ranked, daily agenda, certain practices can be adopted immediately to help you remember more, forget less, and accomplish more of your goals on a daily basis.

Managing my time.

I am so excited about this book! For once, a book on time management that truly fits into my life as a mom with big entrepreneurial dreams. Sarah and Beth Anne are very relatable and wrote the book in a way that makes you feel like they are the girls next door. The tactics are logical, simple, and I truly think this is going to make a difference in both my business and personal life. Very excited!

Very practical and fun to read!

Time Management is a quick read, but it is full of great information. Simple and accessible, Mr. Cockerell gives advice straight from the brain of someone who has managed far more people in more diverse areas than most will through their lifetime. Highly recommended for anyone looking to recapture their time.
