Summary

You Want to Manage Your Time Effectively but You Don't Know How?

If you ask most people why they cannot get things done on time, you will notice that most of them will take a defensive stance. Rather than thinking of the things that they can change personally to improve their productivity, they focus on how other people and their environment affect their use of time.

In this book, I dedicated my effort to showing you the real meanings and reasons of managing your time effectively. It is not just to help you be more productive in your work but more importantly to have more time to spend with your beloved ones. At the end of the day, it is not about what you have accomplished that makes you feel fulfilled, it is who you become and those you help, care about, and inspire that matters the most. That is the ultimate purpose of this book, and I really believe that you will enjoy it.

This book breaks training down into easy-to-understand modules. It starts from the very beginning of having great time management skills, so you can get great results - and achieve massive success!

This will change how you think about your time.

I am in the middle of the book, listen while on the bus to and from work. I must say, it gives those who don't know much about time management, a different way of doing things. I like the fact that it questions entrepreneurs, stay at home parents, and others, if they apply each secret ,what would they accomplish?!!! You've read it before, you've heard it said a number of ways and this book is no different, but it is worth the price and the time it takes to listen it. With each new iteration of these principles, it imprints a little more and a little more.

Some fantastic life hacks

Easy to listen to and I've implemented a couple of the tips, such as rearrange your phone apps into the different home pages to avoid immediate distraction. The first book I have read /listened to since having a baby and it's inspired me to keep going.

Engaging and Helpful!!!

Time Management for the Creative Person is an invaluable guide for right-brainers long on enthusiasm and great ideas, but short on focus and follow-through.This is the first time management book that I can really relate to. Lee Silber understands that the creative brain is different-we have different strengths and different ways of thinking and different priorities.

Fantastic Book!!!

It also covers much overlooked steps to being professionally successful, setting goals, good documentation made easy, and making sure that your personal life gets attention. The writing style made it easy and fun to read, and I am recommending it to anyone who happens to come near my cube.

Very good book!!

Great book to learn how to fine tune one's organizational skills. For example, I always put my due dates on my calendar, but I never thought about putting my start dates on there! Great gift for any student going into college, especially if their major is engineering.

Annoying narration

Not really tailored to the seasoned busy executive. Probably more applicable to the younger student entering the workforce.

Very Practical

Amazing tips, very clear and relatively concise explanations with truly impactful content included! I will definitely re-read/re-listen. The narration could have used more humor or liveliness to increase engagement.

Only common sense stuff

I thought I would be reading different strategies to help me overcome certain obstacles. Instead, it lists off coming sense things that adults already know. For example, it explained that picking up your kids from school is both urgent and important. Well duh! I couldn't bear to read any more. This is both a boring and insulting read.

Not very good

This was hard to listen to. The narrator sounds like a high school kid giving a presentation in class. Sorry, narrator.
The book itself is for you if you need tips to help you not be interrupted by your phone or emails, or if you're not good at setting goals. Always be punctual because it makes a good impression! is how the book starts. Always wear a watch. Turn off your phone. Rank things in order of importance. This is "how to stay focused, for beginners". Not much on actual time management. I was looking for advice to get my workspace and workday more organized and efficient. This book was definitely not for me.

Heard great things about this book

Many people have a feeling of dread when the end of the day roles around, and they realize, "I still need to finish all this work, where did the time go?" It's a horrible feeling. They have once again wasted the limited time allotted to them each day. That time they needed to start their book, finish a report, study for a test, or take their car in to get serviced. Instead they procrastinated on unimportant things

Time to mange your time

Do you need to manage your time better? If you are like me and most other people then your answer is yes. This book gives an overview of the most popular time management styles. The different time management gurus are analyzed and their strategies are presented in a simple way. This allows the reader to get a grasp on the particular guru's theory and determine which theory will work best for you. The chapters are organized the same so you know what to expect in each chapter.

Short, concise and direct to the point

I've listen a lot of books about time management. Most of them tried to cover everything about this subject and are not deep, just suit for the beginner. This book is really unique, different to the others, it just tells about How to create a management tool. And of course, by just focusing on one aspect, he can make it detail, short and concise.

Pretty short and relatively easy/interesting read.

Find your sweet spot... How true indeed! I now better understand that I am in fact a morning person. Getting up half hour earlier has allowed me to plan my day much better - planning for the one or two items to complete that day and allowing myself to forget all the other items on my mental list because I understand I will be able to get to them in good time. I enjoyed the chapter on setting goals for various time lines

super excited book.

I am picky about recommending books. This one is one I could recommend to anyone. Its is very insightful and useful. Its a quick listen and is good for referencing when you need a pick-me-up when your routine drives you nuts. I highlighted a lot of this book. It also has wonderful quotes.
