About this listen

Tony Ryan is bemused. He thought he understood the way the world worked, but now, as a sacrificial lamb of the credit crunch he finds himself drifting.... drifting into the clutches of the ever resourceful Pete who could find the angle in a Fairy Liquid bubble - and into the arms of the enigmatic hippy girl, Astrid, who's about to introduce Tony to rabbits, magic caves and the joys of mushrooms.

A typical good book by D L. can't wait for a new one. I've listened to them all.

Great subtle humour.

Story was let down by dreadful narration, words misspronounced, mistimed and generally bad narration, which is a shame because all the other David Luddington books have been narrated really well

Dreadful narration

loved this book, had me cracking up as I read it , if you have enjoyed DLs other books definitely worth a read or a great place to start if this is your first DL book

entertaining and chaotic

No humour, and was predictable. The narrator sounded as though he wanted to fight everyone!

Not his best work

I’m sure the story was perfectly ok and quite engaging as many of Mr Luddington’s books are regardless of the flights of fancy that the imagination has to take given the slightly trippy tales / stories. However, the narrator of this book is leaden, unimaginative and frankly, boring in much the same way that I’d imagine AI will be when narrating a story. Nil points from me I’m afraid.

The clunky narration. Bleurgh.
