Summary

After the death of her father - Pa Salt, an elusive billionaire who adopted his six daughters from around the globe - Tiggy D’Aplièse, trusting her instincts, moves to the remote wilds of Scotland. There she takes a job doing what she loves: caring for animals on the vast and isolated Kinnaird estate, employed by the enigmatic and troubled Laird, Charlie Kinnaird.

Her decision alters her future irrevocably when Chilly, an ancient gypsy who has lived for years on the estate, tells her that not only does she possess a sixth sense, passed down from her ancestors, but it was foretold long ago that he would be the one to send her back home to Granada in Spain.

In the shadow of the magnificent Alhambra, Tiggy discovers her connection to the fabled gypsy community of Sacromonte, who were forced to flee their homes during the civil war, and to ‘La Candela’, the greatest flamenco dancer of her generation. From the Scottish Highlands and Spain to South America and New York, Tiggy follows the trail back to her own exotic but complex past. And under the watchful eye of a gifted gypsy bruja, she begins to embrace her own talent for healing.

But when fate takes a hand, Tiggy must decide whether to stay with her newfound family or return to Kinnaird and Charlie....

Just love this series!!

Such a shame the author died and no more brilliant stories.
Her books take me away from my grey cloud in life.
I love the way they go back to history and the past and how the characters become who they are from not knowing where they come from.

Another success

I’m loving these books about the sisters and the fact they take you into different’worlds’ ‘cultures’.
I’m hoping there is a seventh book but will start listening to the Sun Sister now.
Thank you Lucinda Riley x

Good story

I really enjoyed the story and the historical facts around Spain, flamenco and the famous flamenco dancer Carmen Amaya that the story is loosely based on.
Slightly amusing with all the very Scottish names in the part set in Scotland, but maybe an attempt from the author to make it more authentic.
I did not like the narrator as she had a very strange way of “laughing” at the end of a sentence. Very odd.

Love this series!

I have loved every book in this series and cannot wait to start book 6. Really well written, such detail and depth. Twists and turns along the way to keep you wanting more.

Another Great Story

Another great read from Lucinda Riley only two more sisters to go!
The only part of this book that I can say, irritated me was parts of the 'performance', at the beginning, the narrator sounded as if she had the end of a bad cold or her sinuses were bad. I also felt that a Spanish accent should have come into play with the main Spanish characters. The accent and pronunciations were far too 'English' for such important characters in the book. Pathetic as it sounds, it did spoil it for me.

Fabulous 5th book

Another great read from Lucinda Riley. Imogen Wilde had the perfect voice for Tiggy. As with most of my books, I part audio and part read. I could hear Tiggy's voice in my head when I read it.

Brilliant!

Oh my goodness me what a story. I couldn’t stop listening and found the way people lived in Spain years ago so interesting and read so well by Imogen Wilde - so many different accents! Please, Lucinda Riley do write to tell us how the other sisters’ lives began. It was wonderful.
