Story
I was too isolated. I was about to be evicted. I made a final desperate call to the man who ruined my life, but he didn't come for me. Someone else did. And then there was Seven. When I first woke in the cell, I thought he was my captor, but he is a pawn, like me. Seven is beautiful and kind. I want him so much I can barely breathe. He wants to protect me from our captor, but he can't. We are both locked inside a game neither of us can ever hope to win, and even though it's wrong, I'm starting to want both men, not just the good one...the monster as well.

Story
My name is Sebastian Lindstrom, and I'm the villain of this story. I've decided to lay myself bare. To tell the truth for once in my hollow life, no matter how dark it gets. And I can assure you, it will get so dark that you'll find yourself feeling around the blackened corners of my mind, seeking a door handle that isn't there. Don't mistake this for a confession. I neither seek forgiveness nor would I accept it. My sins are my own. They keep me company. Instead, this is the true tale of how I found her, how I stole her, and how I lost her.

Story
I knew little of Raphael Amado's history with my family, but when he turned up on our doorstep demanding restitution, my grandfather quickly conceded. That restitution? Me. Six months later, on my 18th birthday, Raphael came for me. He stole me from my home, taking me to his Tuscan estate, where from the crumbling chapel to the burnt-down vineyard, to the cellar that haunted him, the past stalked him like a shadow. It waited for him, hid behind corners for him and trapped him at every turn. As much as Raphael's cruelty terrified me, his darkness seduced me.

Story
Men like us, we see things. We do things, things that make us unfeeling. That’s the price of power and money, of living la belle vie and running the French mafia. Then she came along like a pretty wildflower pushing through the cracks on a dirty pavement - fragile yet resilient, a breath of beauty among the filth. She was supposed to be just another job, a nameless person I was to pluck from her life and hand to my brother, nothing but a pawn in the gamble of our diamond business.

Christian has waited to take her, resisting the urge each night. It always ends badly with human pets. They’re too fragile. The longer he can wait, the better, because the moment he takes her, the clock on her life starts ticking down.

Perfectively dark and twisted!
The Last Girl has all of delicious darkness you can expect from a Kitty Thomas book but with a paranormal twist. I adored the narration for this one, Christian's voice is incredible.

Okay I like this authors books BUT!!!...
I enjoy this authors books but JUST ABOUT EVERY ENDING IS LEFT WITH A CLIFF HANGER. LIKE THE STORY ISN'T FINISHED AND THAT IS JUST UNEXCEPTABLE!!!! These books could bringer and so much better with alot more to the story. THIS IS OVEEY EXTREMELY ANNOYING FRUSTRATING AND IRRITATING. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THIS AUTHOR DOESN'T COMPLETE HER BOOKS!?!?!? I HATE IT!!!

Steamy perfection!
Christian and Juliette's story is not a conventional love story. Christian, a 700 plus year old vampire, who's been lusting, watching, and laying claim on his prey, Juliette, from afar for 6 years now. Juliette's brush with death and this mysterious man has plagued her dreams for years and has left her unhinged. And now he's come back and everything changes. Christian brings Juliette's fantasies to life and makes her want things she didn't know she needed. Kitty Thomas delivers an erotic, painful, and emotional read that captivates and entices. The narrators delivered a flawless performance and had me hanging on to every word. I couldn't get enough!

Fascinating & enthralling (and dangerous!)
This was a fascinating vampire tale, that was also dark and different from the norm (which is probably why I liked it so much 😊). Juliette goes through life, having nightmares of the night 6 years ago when she was home alone and there was a break in. She kept that story to herself, always worried they’d come back for her. And after all that time, Christian does. He’s waited 6 long years for her. A vampire, who could tell there was something special about her. And he wanted her. He’s dangerous and sexy and kinky as all get out. And their time together transforms her. And him. It was quite enthralling. And I very much enjoyed listening to Christian Black & Laurie West’s narration of it. The dual narration is made it more enjoyable. Definitely worth a listen!

Loved the story
If you like dark vampire romance then I totally recommend this one! I loved the ending and the performance by the 2 narrators was exactly what you would want while listening to this kind of book. The author did a great job bringing her vampires to life. They were a bit different then what you'd expect and yet also the same. I enjoyed how the main character didn't just fall into her new life. She had to adjust and get used to it. Made the story seem more real to me. I also really liked how I can listen and enjoy the story and get other things done with this audio book.

Twisted Vampire
I really enjoyed this book. I love vampire stories! Christian is super scary but also super hot and Juliette is so sweet yet fierce. I loved the whole story and the ending was the best! A great read! I loved the dual narration in this book. Unlike most books with 2 narrators where one narrator starts the chapter and does all the character voices this book had the male and female narrators narrating their respective characters in each chapter which was really cool and way more fun to listen to than the other kind of dual narration. They both brought out their characters personality and made you feel what they felt it was a very enjoyable listen.

Love this book!
This was my first audio book. I have loved this book ever since I first read it and was delighted to have it read to me while I painted. Loved the emotion and feeling the narrators put into it. Juliette and Christian are like fine wine, they just keep getting better. Nothing like an unapologetic vampire and a victim who falls head of heals in love.

Did not disappoint!
The Last Girl is my favorite Kitty Thomas book so I had pretty high expectations for this audiobook. It did not disappoint! Laurie West captured Juliet perfectly and having a male voice actor (Christian Black) portray one of my favorite dark characters solidified my love of this story even more. The scenes really came to life hearing it.

So glad that there are Kitty Thomas audiobooks
This is not my first time with this story. I read the ebook when it first came out. It combines Kitty Thomas's dark stories with the paranormal. This one is with vampires. It follows Christain who is a vampire and finds a girl that entriques him. He can't control her mind, like with most humans. At the time, she's still too young, so he leaves her alone, but continues to watch her as she grows into a woman. Then before she has her first time with her boyfriend, he decides it is time to bring her into his world. This is my first time revisiting this book since reading years ago. I think I enjoyed it more this time (based on my ebook review). I'm not 100% sure why. I wonder if there was something in my mood when I wrote that review. Anyway, I had a great time with this story. Narration This book is narrated in a format I've heard called a Duet. The male narrator does the male voices and the female the female voices. The parts that aren't dialogue are read by whichever POV at the time. This is probably my least favorite narration style. I think part of that is because I haven't listened to many books in this style, so it takes me a bit to get into that narration style. I much prefer either single narration or dual narration where the narration read all the voices, but the gender changes based on the POV. That being said, I thought both narrators did a great job. Once I got into this style of narration, I really enjoyed their performance. I would gladly listen to either or both of these narrators again.

what a ride
Once again I have fallen in love with another Kitty Thomas book! I love how versatile this author is! From paranormal romance, to pure erotic filth (my favorite) to simple dark romance everything she writes is a masterpiece. I was worried about the ending but I am so glad it ended how I wanted! I loved both of these narrators too! They did an amazing job portraying Christian and Juliette!
