Summary
I have a special power, the ability to calm a berserker, but I’ve been warned never to use it. My mother said, “If you see a berserker in a rage…not your monkeys, not your circus. Get the hell away. They’re too dangerous, and you’ll lose your freedom.”
But the thing is…we’re flying 30,000 feet in the air in a speeding aluminum cage, and there’s a berserker raging out in the aisle beside me. Security won’t be able to hold him. They won’t be strong enough. They have no idea what they’re dealing with. And if he gets a taste of blood, he’s going to rampage through the entire plane, leaving a path of death and destruction, including me.
I’ve never used my power before. I’m afraid it won’t work and he’ll turn on me, but I know all too well what these beasts are capable of. There’s nowhere to go, and he’s just getting started. I have one option: calm him and hope I can escape when the plane lands.
This is a stand-alone. No cliffhanger. Guaranteed happily ever after.

Excellent Narration

So much potential
5 stars for Troy - he can do no wrong *swoon*
2 stars for Lauren - she over-acted the ENTIRE. STORY. It was exhausting listening to it.
The idea of the story piqued my interest, but it was a serious letdown. Perhaps if it would've been a full length book, it could've been something really good. Instead I'm left with too many questions and not enough interest to want to read anything else by this author.

Really Fun
Doncha just love the way Troy Duran says "panties"! I think I have at least 50 of his books and in every one he says panties at least once. Moving on I really would have liked more story, longer. You just get a taste of what this book...could be and then it's over. For being so short though you do get an understanding of who the characters are. I'm just really sorry it wasn't longer. A backstory would have been great because Ms. Thomas gave herself so much to work with.

Chloe and Cade/Berserker
This short book was pretty good. Chloe meets Cade/Berserker on a flight to Paris. When he goes beserk, she is able to calm him before he kills everyone on the plane. Chloe had a great sense of humor. She could be very funny. Troy Duran and Lauren Sweet did a very good job with the narration.

Fantastic
If you like dark, sexy tales, you'll love Berserker. The story was fascinating and the narration was fantastic.

Here for Troy
Here for Troy Duran but stayed for the story. It was short and sweet and perfect length. I dont think I cared enough about Chloe to want to read anything longer but the story of the Berserker & mythology was nice. If you love Troy Duran (which you should), I’d recommend a listen

Just the Beginning....
Berserker is an appetizer for Kitty Thomas's Valkyrie. It sets the stage for a larger more intricate world without giving anything away. Troy's Berserker was a glorious thing to hear. The accent and growl were *chef's kiss.* Because I've read most, if not all, of Kitty's work I know that this novella is so much bigger than it seems. You may not HAVE to go directly to Valkyrie but you definitely WANT to. Chloe and Cade are wonderful all on their own but it's so much more satisfying to see the bigger picture.

Just a few hours of nothing
This is a small novella with no story development, no interesting characters or character development, next-to-no back story, and very uninteresting dialogue. My first of Kitty Thomas' and likely my last.
NARRATION: Lauren Sweet is okay, but her narration didn't warm me up to the character at all. To be fair, the way the character is written didn't give Ms. Sweet a lot to work with. Troy Duran is excellent as always. And his talents are more showcased in this book than in any other I've heard him narrate. His voice is already so deep and sexy, but his accent work in this book is exceptional. Too bad he's barely featured in this book. It's mostly her.

Great Book & Story, but.....
This book was actually a great surprise for me being the length was so short. the narration was great, both make & female. I just wish there was a little more background on the characters, especially the berserker. otherwise the book was great snd definitely worth it!

Really could not focus on much else while listenin
I loved this fresh story of Norse Mythology. Of course I was listening while I was working, so at times I REALLY could NOT do both. So I paused the book and tried to do some work again. Then after a little bit I could listen while working. I feel like the narrators were both well chosen for this book and enjoyed listening. Also looking forward to seeing what else this author has available!
