Losing it's way
I found the first two compelling, but this one seems to have descended into juvenile humour and casual misogyny. Also the ratio of actual story action to reading out of stat sheets and notifications has changed for the worse.

Addicted
Nick Podehl’s prowess as a narrator is impossible to ignore - he really brings these books to life in full colour with his voices and nuanced tone range.

Interesting despite Richter
it's interesting enough that I'll keep reading. plus nick podehl is the perfect narrator. I think "retard fight" is enough to put down a series, so continuing after that means the book is a tad addictive. (I get it's a south park reference, but it was satire in south park that hit a lot of levels. in this book calling two short people retards is supposed to be humour"

An honest opinion
The good stuff first:
This series is a solid LitRPG(I have bought all the books).
The narrator is excellent. One of the best I have heard, and as a listener of a loooot of books I think I have a solid opinion on that. A lot of the other reviews also agrees on this.
It stays consistent, has all the game mechanics and has a good variation between the different elements. The city building is good, there is a level system which works and the magic is decent and just like a game. There is some humor in the books, and the MC is OP(for those who like that).
The MC also makes some horrible mistakes which is rare in these types of books
The bad stuff(there is a lot)
The MC is the OP kind that never really loses. He makes some mistakes, but they have pretty much zero consequences for the MC as they are quickly forgotten.
The humor is pretty much only about who has the largest male organ or other stereotypical male humor or pop-culture, which was funny in the beginning but on book 5 I was very tired of it.
The Writing is no masterpiece. The characters are one-dimensional with no real depth. It’s a very vanilla story. How the author claims to be the father of American LitRPG with this work is beyond me.
I bought the books during the holiday and just listened to all of them on the beach which is why I bought them all. Once I got home I regretted buying them…

Not great
Super extended fight scenes, skill progression is very unimaginative and boring some bits where pretty interesting but all around pretty dreary, narration was great tho.

DING FREAKING DING
Does the editor get paid every time that sound effect gets used? Plus the constant stream of updates on mundane items and their weight might -might be okay to read but ro listen to is maddening. So many other litRPGs do it was better.
The story is okay, I liked the first 2 books but the story has hardly moved atall . The Mc is becoming less likable and barely even trys to justify his warcrimes(killing bound and begging sentiants)
Try "noob town" or "limitless lands" for better story's and more likable characters.

Very good, but very heavy on the "ding ding" sound
really enjoin the series but in some parts there's literally minutes of back to back "DING DING, CONGRATULATIONS! "
