decent

previous books were very good, this one however got boged down in stats. before attacking 5 of the same mobs do we really need to listen to the same description and the stats of every single one..

Continues the good work but.

The one down side was the constant “upgrade” within the book. I would guess that at least 1/4 of the book is spent listening to upgrades or analyse instead of the story.

Overall still good and worth spending the credit for it but it seems more like a filler book to the bigger story.

For lovers of incest and beastiality

Upon listening to this book you will learn many things. The author loves repetition, copy and paste, incest and beastiality. The author has limited imagination and often repeats the same scenario again and again albeit in a slightly different location when he is not just coping and pasting. The author is obsessed with sex but clearly shows a lack of any experience in his writing. Every character has more or less the same personality and all use sexual innuendos as often as possible. All characters male or female throw themselves at the main protagonist for sexual desires and worship including the royal families. Female characters are portrayed as old fashioned stereotypes and appear to only exist in this book for bowing down to the sexual desires of their dear lord.

Excellent!

Loved this book. Great action, humerus banter and engrossing mechanics mean that I have listened to this book many times. Really recommend it.

Plenty of humor in this one lots of laughs.

Another great continuation of Rictor's journey I would have licked some more action with the higher beings but I guess that will come. the mystery continues. On to the next book for me.

I love it but Too many stats

I love the concept, the story and some of the writing is excellent but I can't help but feel that the actual story is being stunted and overwhelmed by stats. It's probably not even an issue in the book but as an audio book it's very jarring and I just switched off every time they began.

Did some one say eggs

This book pick ups right we’re we left richter and the gang fighting for survival against Richter's nemesis .

Join the panic fear and trepidation as the mist villagers fight for their lives, and grow as a community.

Richter is still being mentored by Sumico, Randy and the rest and his personal journey has more depth and feeling putting you right there with him.

Nicks vocal performance is second to none and brings this epic tail to life

Great addition to the series

So I am on my second go through and their is so much more to the story that I missed on my first go through.

I have read all 7 of the books and listened to them (Mostly twice now). I know some people complain about the prompts but I love that type of info. It makes the book feel more real.

For anyone considering this series: The Mc acts like a real person. He will do good and bad things. Some things people consider cruel (My brother and I got in to a discussion about that). Here is the thing I can’t say I’d do any less in his position. I mean honestly he is. A much nicer person than I would be in that situation.

Con: here is the only reason it did not make 5 stars. While I love prompts the description of the goblins was a bit tedious when it kept repeating racial facts. That would be my only real suggestion to skip over.

Gnomes Rule

Another beautifully told story of adventure and leveling up in the land. My only issues were that some of the prompts and level building can seem tedious. There were a couple of lengthy in depth descriptions that I zoned out during. Overall the level of complexity that Aleron is constructing with each story is phenomenal.

Not that great

When the story is being told its great but endless reading of stats is just too much. Objectifying every woman he introduces is old. I'm moving on to something else.

The books have devolved completely at this point.

Within the first 5 chapters of the story, AT LEAST an hour of the book is just reading stats of items, talents and skill descriptions. It's been steadily getting worse with easy book but at this point I'm almost ready to just delete the rest of the series. I wish I hadn't bought all of these books.

Moving way too slow

This series sets up lots of enemies and setpieces that haven't been resolved by the end of the fifth book. With only two left, I cannot imagine this series is going to have anything resembling a satisfying conclusion. There are just so many hanging threads that should have been tied up now. It doesn't help that the MC develops really slowly. The plot seems to suggest that he should be formidable by now, but his settlement is small and he himself is super wimpy. Winning by luck isn't that satisfying to read. I get that combat needs tension but most people don't almost lose literally every fight they've been in. Every fight is identical: Start doing some damage->enemy not that bothered-> enemy does damage, MC almost dies->plot armor saves the day.

Also, author has a torture fetish. Best to keep that in mind since you'll see a lot of it.

The saga continues with gusto!

Richter, Randolphus, Scion, Fueton, and of course Alma continue to contribute to the growth of Misty Village. The Pixies and Sprites have sworn fealty to Richter thus increasing Richter’s power, affinity, and military strength to some degree. Richter has been lovingly described as the sword carrying, magic wielding, master of a place of power. I have also named him King of Idioms. Richter is constantly busy grinding his limitless attributes, skills, and spells. His latest favorites are smithing, enchanting, patrolling, building, and scribing. The saga continues with gusto!

Extremely tedious and cumbersome.

The story continues to be..... just okay. The leveling was even starting to get boring (which is usually my favorite part). I honestly don't think I will finish the series....5 books of this continuously drawn out story is enough for me. Change my mind.

Best series I've read all year!

My son introduced me to this book and I picked up the audiobook for a long work commute. The narrator is probably the best I've ever heard. The book itself is a combination of Piers anthony punny humor, world building, and a dude encountering a plethora of "oh crap" situations. I've read the series twice and don't plan on stopping. Well worth the time/cost.
